As you guys know the report meta on console is a big thing. Recently you guys updated their ToC, wich gave us players in the console community abit of hope.
As far as im aware, most of us enjoying the new update at the moment.
Before the update my team got banned for a fob 9 by 9 because of that report meta, it got called claim spam while it really wasnt.
But with the new ToC it says that fake reports will be punished also.
So im wondering, this picture was send to a different clan on my server. They basically admit that they cant raid the other team and resort to the report meta.
Since their intentions of the possible report has nothing to do with that clan breaking any rules, but more with them not being be able to raid time. I would consider this as a fake report myself, just to ruin the fun of other players on that server.
So now im wondering, how would a scenario like this be handled?
My ban on the 9 by 9 fob like 1 month ago was claim spam they said. Nothing got removed besides that fob. We got screenshots of it.
In my appeal at that time i even said that i thought that they made a mistake and that mistakes can happen where humans work.
Not sure what hit me most, the ban that wasnt logic at all. (Wich i can proof by screenshots) or the fact that my ban appeal only got answered almost 1 week after my ban was already gone.
How do i appeal something if it takes 1 week longer then my ban.
To stay on topic. Messages likes this on console are insanely common.
Thats where it goes wrong. Nobody should need to feel the pressure of bodyvaulting and leaving a server. Just because of people reporting because they cant play the game properly themself.
I mean, its fine if people cant raid. Thats why we have PVEC servers, so they can still pvp but cant get raided.
But no, instead those kind of people wanna stay on pvp servers. Brag about not getting raided by anyone. While in fact they would get raided by any single clan that wouldnt get banned because of their reports that dont make any sense.
Im really curious what Funcom their response would be on situations like this that are a big problem in our console community for atleast the past year.
The way it should be, and the way it is, my last ban was a month long, between D4 and AOW not being so enjoyable to me now it has stopped me playing.
because if I dont cleanup a raided out base quick enough I might get banned again like last time, also cant rely on clan mates cause I have to hawk everything they might do.
How usefull? I got banned for a pyramid on pvp server on a hotspot for pvp. It was 9 by 9 foundations wide and it was considered claim spam.
So fake reports is a thing and bans happening because of those reports is a thing.
So just ‘implying’ that they take actions against those sad people is way to easy for me. The report meta doesnt seem to haunt people on PC (Wich i hear from console players that moved to PC)
I just want a answer on what they possibly do or even better on what we as a community can possibly do against fake reports?
For example in my own scenario the ban was 14 weeks and their response took 20 days. So how am i even defending myself against a fake ban?
Do i need to clip my own pyramids incase they get removed?
Do we need to fill in ‘fake reports’ ourself to make the system overloaded and real reports will take longer to process?
Do we wanna push the active pvp community that we have left on console, towards workarounds to evade bans? (The ban system has weakpoints in it.)
Over the years we had alot of videos about bans. Yes, some are definitly justified. But lets be honest, if you ever played pvp, getting a ban for a 9 by 9 is just bs.
Depends, what did you have inside the 9x9 building? For all we know the 9x9 was a fancy single foundation used to block an area. Going by numbers a 1x1 getting someone suspended sounds way worse than a 9x9, but the rules state that you can and explanations are given to as why.
We also haven’t heard or seen of your other builds, so this 9x9 you talk about could very well be a red herring here.
The best and only way to stop this - No bans based on reports about land or people abuse.
Only cheating\glitching reports with visual proofs (screen\video) should be considered legit for any bans actions.
