How do you use the firefly bait and woodlouse bait in fish traps?

My friends got me into Conan and I’ve been loving it. We play on one of their private servers with a lot of mods. I’m not sure which mod adds it, but I don’t see the firefly and woodlouse bait made at the artisan’s bench on the wiki page, so I assume it’s fairly new. It is supposed to boost the chance for rare fish. But the traps don’t work with only that bait in them. I’ve been trying to put them in along with fat grubs, but I can’t tell if that is doing anything. Anyone gotten them to work in a verifiable way? Thanks in advance

Those are mod items and meant to be used with fishing chairs added by that same mod. You can sit on them and fish using those baits.

Thanks. I was completely misunderstanding how to use them. I made the chair and am sitting there fishing now.

Thanks 8) It is interesting and was fun to try, but there are probably better ways to get resources. One thing is that the rare items you can get seem to be things that decay fairly quickly. (I saw Eyes of Innocence once, Moray Eels, and Grouper, and a lock of a murdered womans hair or something like that.) Otherwise, it would be a neat way to leave yourself sitting there fishing while doing other things.

Main thing is that it does show you sit down holding a fishing pole that occasionally dips when you catch something. It also doesn’t seem to actually use the bait, it is just that the bait has its own decay time so you lose some slowly

One thing is certain in this game is that you need fiber for many reasons. So grab your sickle, gather some thousands of it and hain insects too. Toss the insects in the deep fishing traps and go for an adventure. When you’ll return you’ll have your fishes waiting for you. Whatever you don’t need make them oil, the rest in the preservation box. If you have a couple compost boxes too it’s more than ok.
Fishing trap is passive fishing.

That mod has settings too, so you can alter what you can catch. Special fish exist that give special things if I recall correctly. Didn’t play with it too much cause I just sold my fish to NPC vendors the server I was on had available.
