How to distinguish gender of thralls

Funcom how about adding a way to distinguish whether a thrall is male or female after they have been broken but not yet placed in the world. Like for instance, I like I’m sure, so many have a ton of thralls in crates and chests but I have no idea which gender they are unless I remove them and attempt to place them into the world. Maybe add a little gender icon to them or colored boarder around their icon square like blue for male and I don’t know pink for female or if pink is too difficult purple or red. This would definitely help out before placing thralls.

The system they are currently working on would make this feature be rendered obsolete. You won’t have thralls in storage containers denoted by simple names and icons. They’ll physically be in the world at all times. I suspect they’ll still be able to be stored in a way (cages or whatnot), but they will be visible at all times.

Please be joking. This has unplayable lag written all over it.

I suggest a workaround for now: separate your boxed thralls by gender in respective named chests.

They technically never made that 100% clear. They said crafters would be in the world and no longer have an icon that would allow them to be removed and stored, but they didn’t say they were removing storage altogether… at least not to my knowledge. That would make it really difficult for those who have stored thralls for days in their stuff. I suspect they’ll likely still be icons, but you have to place them. As for the purge, they’ll all be cages… for now anyway. I’d hate to think as soon as I break a thrall, they walk off the wheel immediately.

This is what I do. Male and female combat thralls (like berserkers or other unnamed T4 thralls), male and female crafters, and named combat thralls all go into one crate since I can usually tell which are which.

I definitely did this when thralls were stronk. After the major thrall nerf, since they became basically meat shields, I really stopped caring about their viability and creating any attachments with them.

They were relegated, if we had overstock, to 3 chests: crafters, named fighters and even worse fodder or to summon zombies (t1-t3s).

all it would take would be an I or a U. Striker or bell

You can already preview thralls before placing them. If you don’t like the one you have, seperate it in your inventory for disposal. Note that it’s only a visual preview, if you require a closer look at their face or stats, they have to be deployed

Keeping hundreds of thralls in the chests and pets in the fridges… It has to go… It’s one of the dumbest things I saw in Conan.

I don’t train spares to be boxed. If they meet my training requirements, they get a nice set of armour, weapons, food and get to hang out at my base. If they fail, they die.

if they really do this, i am gone for good

why? I love it

Sort them by gender, break them in wheels by gender then by containers. Not saying it wouldn’t be a good thing but really easily addressed with some sorting and I hate sorting.

If this happens I am going to kill others thralls by luring enemies and I won’t hear complaints on this for sure this would break the game and perfomance mode would do nothing for me.

Nah, I would have way to many then, the limit on groups having 140 collectively is what hurts me the most.

They’re for backups when they get killed, or for trading and gifting. You clearly don’t understand the purpose. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve traded or gifted thralls to over the years. If they remove this feature, half the player interactions and local economy will disappear… especially if they plan on making player vendors. I’d say the most frequent requests for stuff I get are thralls.

There could still be a storage for them to be traded or used as backups in the future, but definitely not boxes.
60 people crammed in one box? I mean, really? That’s the first wtf moment when I first played the game years ago. The fact people gradually got used to this absurdity doesn’t mean it makes sense.
Cages or prisons will be fine.

No more than normal. It would just mean people won’t have thralls in boxes, which causes its own problems. The pathing and ai of thralls is the hit; not someone swinging a hammer at a bench and if all get pathing and combat capabilities, the thrall cap would include them as well. All that would be missing is boxes of thralls.

Sure, you can build a metric f*ck ton of cages… I’d rather not.
