I just got a Chieftain Aslaug and put her on an Improved Armorer’s bench. I’ve got all the Vanir feats, both regular and Epic version. Why can’t I see the Flawless or even Epic Flawless Vanir sets available for crafting?
Also tried the Garrison Armorer’s bench, which had the same result.
Flawless armors were removed from the game a while ago. There’s a new system they replaced them with, but I frankly don’t care enough about making the best and fanciest armors to know off hand how it works so someone else will have to explain it.
Your T4 and named armor bench thralls have three types of specializations: Armor, durability and weight. Those replaced the flawless types in a recent change.
Welcome to the community.
Exceptional and flawless are removed from the game.
Now the best tier of bench gives you economy in the materials, or speed but expensive.
The specializations of the named crafters will effect the durability, weight and power of the item you will construct.
But I will stand to the coolest things of this change.
1st. Redeemed silent legion
Now every named armorer can provide you one, you don’t need a purge armorer for this anymore.
2nd. Legendary armor repair kits can be crafted finally from a specific specialty of armorer in tinkers bench.
3rd. Same with legendary weapon repair kits, you don’t need a purge blacksmith for it just a named with the specialization.
4rth. We have light and medium versions of silent legion aaaaand DRAGONBONE ARMORS .
There are more benefits from the new bench system like steel crafting for example, but these are things that you will see no matter what.
I really hope @CodeMage will jump in here to explain better, because like his nickname, he is a mage in these things.
Welcome m8, nice to have you here.
The new system is better though, with high tier thrall and highest tier bench you’re able to make the base stats higher than it was with just flawless. I tested it a few times with the flawless I had before they robbed me of my flawless gear.
Holy moly, I did not expect the good vibes avalanche lol
You’ve all been so kind in those answers! I feel embranced by the community! Thank you all!
So, about the specializations: Is that automatically applied? Is the “augmented” status displayed somewhere on the UI? Can that augmentation be only seen at the bench where the named thrall is? Or does it apply to every bench?
Also, I was looking for the flawless version of the Vanir set for its improved cold resistance, which I understood is no longer possible to achieve on Vanir with the Thrall Specializations. Is that correct?
Sorry about bringing back something that changed awhile ago. I started Conan just a month ago and there still seem to be a lot to catch up. There are tons of outdated information out there and it has been a rough road to filter them.
A named thrall has a icon in the corner, for armour
the dumbell means it lowers the weight
the shield gives more flat defence
the hammer increases durabillity
See an overview of all the named buffs here:
When the armour or weapon is crafted you can’t see the buff with an icon, you can only seen higher stats, that location is reserved for the upgrade you can put in.
A high tier thrall also increases the attribute for example armour that gives str
So, since these augmentations are not highlighted anywhere on the UI, I would need to know beforehand what the base armor value was in order to understand the increase in armor a Shieldwright, for instance, can make.
Time to search for a mod that highlight it in order to make it clearer
Are there still new recipes linked to the Thrall faction? For instance, is there any difference between a Named Stygian Shieldwright and a Named Stygian Cimmerian? Do they provide anything different at all?
You can check the armour stats in the bench (these are standard without a thrall use), click the item and check the stats.
If you make the item with a named thrall you see the stats differ from the stats shown in the bench (after you craft the item).
However, you can only see attribute stats when equipping a piece with and without a named craft and compare the numbers by looking at your attributes while wearing the different pieces.
Its not the most intuitive way, but there is no reason why you shouldn’t craft a item with the highest thralls and the highest grade bench
