Update 2.5 added in new npc stagger resistances, As stated * Humanoid NPCs (including thralls) will now gain temporary immunity to weapon hit stagger effects after being affected by them for an extended period of time…
This is bad…this is really bad, npcs already have a bad knack for disregarding obvious stagger, and causing an insane amount of stagger towards the player that we ourselves can never dish out.
I honestly think they should ditch this change they made in 2.5 as it helps no one and just makes most fights even more of a chore, i haven’t had much fun fighting since 2.5 that i had before and it’s pretty much just from this addition.
Make human npcs follow the same stagger rules as us players, attacks that stagger us should do the same to them.
There’s some conversation on here about the change, may not titled specifically that. I’d point you in that direction if you were interested in peoples responses to this change, but I can’t find it. My general take away is that most people agree with you, its not a popular change.
How is this making the combat function correctly? It’s changing the stagger system. I don’t gain stagger immunity, and I’m arguably a much stronger humanoid.
All they have done is make encounters more drawn out and unenjoyable.
Impossible to get through a 4 hit combo anymore. Trying to fight more than 1 enemy at a time is just asking for death when they barely get staggered at the start of a fight but I get stunlocked with just 1 hit.
