I have Crom Coins. I want to spend them. Please let me give you money

I’ve been sitting on enough Crom Coins to buy like a dozen bundles on the bazaar. The problem is, I already own everything that has been in there since the update. I earned the Battle Pass items when they were available. I know I am not alone.

Why did you guys choose to simultaneously put MORE on the Bazaar page, while actually offering so much less? Are there any plans to rotate the battle pass bundles out any time soon?

If you are waiting to see how much money you would make from this before deciding to add more, you are shooting yourself in the foot and looking for fish in someone else’s barrel. It defies any sort of logic. If the majority of players already own these things, you will not see new sales. That does not mean we don’t want to pay you. It means we literally can’t. So your takeaway will be that “no one is spending money on the bazaar. Might as well quit trying!” when the exact opposite is true.

The servers I’ve been on have been flooded with players, and most of us are happy to fund our habit.

Please, for the love of Zath, ROTATE THE BAZAAR already! Add more content! Let us give you money! WHY DON’T YOU WANT OUR MONEY?!

They already got your money when you bought the Crom coins :man_shrugging:

Yeah, well I’m not buying crom coins until they fix this bazaar situation. I too want to get some building set stuff… but have been staring at the exact same bazaar items for over a month now. This stuff needs to be on a weekly rotation or something.

… or here is a CRAZY thought… just let people buy whatever they want whenever they want!!!

Release the catalogue or go back to DLCs!!

Unofficial statement from discord (as I say - unofficial, so can’t be taken as gospel or some official announcement, but did come from one of the Inflexion folks) - “Soon”

So that might mean ‘Soon, hopefully’, or it might mean ‘it’s being worked on’ or it might just mean ‘stop bugging me about this stuff, I don’t know’… But at least it means there are people that are aware of it…

No ‘or’ as far as I’m concerned . I guess I’d accept them releasing the catalogue, but what I really want is for them to go back to DLCs, no question.

This 1000000% I’m so tired of games having in game, abstracted currencies designed to siphon money from the player base via an in game shop/season pass/etc… Just go back to honest DLCs

Do you have a link to the Discord channel you are talking about?

Sure, NP - see below (if that doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll try something else) - for some reason it’s a b*tch to find by just searching discord for it.
This is the unofficial Conan Exiles discord, it’s player-run and moderated, but there is no official CE discord. Inflexion folks show up from time to time, Steve in particular seems to drop in most days. Bear in mind not to ping any of the Inflexion folks or you risk bringing down the moderators on your head.

Yeah I searched and found a lot of complaints about the bazaar, but I can’t find anything from an Inflexion person in there. It’s nice to see so many people chatting about the game!

Totally agree, they try a FOMO system with unlimited pixels.(Whoever came up with this should be fired on the spot.)

Its just dumb.

I was able to buy the gibbet after waiting for almost 2 years…

Funcom is like: “Hello customer, would you like to buy something?”

Customer: “Yes, i would like to buy item 5,8 and 12.”

Funcom: “We have unlimited supply of those but you will buy what we want and when.”

But we could buy more if there was a reason to buy them!

Still no word on this from the CM or anyone, I take it? Apart from a vague “soon” re: a refresh apparently on Discord over a week ago from a single Inflexion dev, since that’s the way the community is given information now. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I haven’t even seen that much. Just a player saying that they had seen a message from an Inflexion employee.

Inflexion employees show up on that discord with names in red (not purple, some quite similar shades), almost all (or maybe all, I don’t remember) with the word ‘Anomaly’ in their name. Steve is the most frequent, but he doesn’t seem to have been on for a day or two - possibly they are focusing on the update that’s supposed to be out today.

Thanks, love. Will keep an eye on those channels, then.

Solution: Boycott the bazaar. Refuse to buy anything, no matter what. Ever.

They can keep their pixels and their manipulation. They can either learn to give us what we want on OUR terms… or they can not get paid.

People who say things like this probably don’t spend money on the game anyway.

The devs have done a lot, and deserve to be paid. If they aren’t going to make us pay a subscription, the money has to come from cosmetics. Personally, I enjoy the cosmetics. I also want them to have a demonstrable revenue stream (hence this post) to justify their continued work on the core game.

Nice strawman argument. I bought the game with the UE5 update. I bought every dlc. I then bought $50 of crom coins.

I will not spend one more cent with this company until they learn to get rid of the slimy fomo microtransaction tactics.

Spend money on what? That’s the whole issue. They don’t want our money, since there’s nothing to buy. You say they’ve done a lot, but on this they’ve done nothing, or rather, they’ve made the whole system far worse than it was in UE4 Conan. I enjoy the cosmetics I already have; glad I got tham a year or two ago, back when they were available.

And no, it doesn’t have to be either microtransactions or subscriptions actually. This is a false dichotomy since plenty of other developers who continue updating their games without either, though understandably this cannot work for every developer in every situation. Still, there’s another less predatory model for developers to get paid for continued work: DLC.

I was quite happy when CEE came out. But I’m a bit indignant that after all the improvements, of all things to mess up, it’s been the microtransactions! I never could have expected that! I avoided them before CEE, because it felt wrong to buy anything for what appeared to be an abandoned game, with zero communication. Now with CEE I thought, alright, it’s still overpriced, but the game is supported again and that’s really cool, I may get a few things I wanted … nope!

The funny part is just how silly the whole thing is. I’m a bit IMO understandably annoyed because I can’t spend money! Or at least, I got no reason to unless I want to make a charitable donation of Crom Coins (can these be put on tax returns for giving to the needy?).

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a situation as hilarious and ridiculous as Conan’s Bazaar. Digital items, unlimited supply (in theory), lots of demand, but not for sale! Lots of fun, cool content, but you cannot buy it! Isn’t that just absurd?

Orkan’s boycott suggestion I agree with, but think about how funny this situation is: boycotting the Bazaar since they won’t sell us anything we want to buy, even though they have it! Sounds like the easiest and best kind of customer problem for a business to have to solve, ever!

Instead: silence.

If you look in the admin panel, there’s a really awesome looking Vendhyan set on the way!

There’s so much stuff in it that some people are speculating it will be a DLC, like they used to do.
