Today my friend @Barnes summoned me into a thread, and I did respond.
But it gave me pause, and upon reflection I decided I should make this thread.
Starting in January of this Year things in real life began that have since spiraled into a perfect storm of Daytime drama proportions.
The result being, even if I have the time to play I no longer have the focus as RL creeps in and distracts to the point of my no longer even wanting to play.
The changes to the game including the Cash Shop and game pass, have nothing to do with my leaving. It’s all personal IRL stuff.
The truth is I don’t know if I will ever return, but the possibility is still there I just do not deem it likely.
So in closing I want to say thank you to the forum community and FunCom, it’s been a wonderful five years.
I’ll still pop in at the forums, but even that has begun to taper off, and I believe will stop eventually
Droch, it was the utmost pleasure being able to meet and play with you. The game aside, I truly hope that whatever is causing the issues for you either works out or goes away and leaves you be.
Thank you for what you taught me, and the ups and downs we had in game (the Purge!). I appreciate all your input and help over the past months. You will be missed, but RL > games always. Take care, my friend. And if things ever turn around for you and that spark fires back up, you know where we can be found.
I have to admit when I clicked on the thread I was expecting something quite different. I am not sure sure if I should be glad that it wasn’t one of those threads or sad that it wasn’t because I hate to see that real life has been so cruel to you. I do hope that, whatever your situation is, you see some positive improvements soon regardless if you decide to come back to this game or move on to another. I wish you all the best.
I WELL UNDERSTAND. Have some things going on that may put me in a similar situation in a month or two we will miss you my best wish for you is that you come back in a few months with a clear head and everything going your way .Real life can be a bummer
Not saying everyone plays to escape but I know some of us do and then there is no escape .Best wishes from a community of friends.
Do whatcha gotta do, @droch-aon. If that means taking a break, that’s okay. Its been good interacting with you the forums and sharing this wonderful game. Stay on course and see your RL through.
We don’t really know each other, but best of luck for your life, and that you will find the time and leisure to join the CE community again.

It is always sad to see good, long running members leave our community. Farewell droch-aon and take care of yourself and your family old timer. There will always be a place for you here with us should you ever return.

Best of wishes to you and I hope things resolve favorably for you. If you ever do come back, feel free to terrorize my server (I’ll even point out where my son’s buildings are so you can trebuchet HIM).
