Trying to go through Dragonmouth to the Volcano and…
Apparently they moved that particular dungeon from where I remember it use to be.
Oddly, it’s not happening to everyone who tries to go through there.
It hasn’t happened to me at anytime although there was a bug that got folks stuck under Jhebbal Sag when trying to leave the Midnight Grove. But that seems to have been fixed.
I get the impression from your video and subsequent screenshot, that it’s happened to you at least twice now.
If you haven’t already done it, file a report through the help desk.
Also, it appears to me you may be using mods (going on the appearance of your bar).
Going on the chance that the video shows no unusual appearances vs your screenshot, it makes me suspect a mod may have corrupted your game.
It looks to me like two separate players running the same minimap mod. Turn your mods off and try it again and see if it works.
On a server; it should be as simple as pulling your bracelet.
I do remember strange things happening going into the pathway in the middle between the volcano and the outside. Once my partner just continued running and went off the ledge and once it happened to me as well.
This occurrence is a “teleport” event that moves you between sections.
For it to be acting so oddly, is suggesting something is amiss with the coding there. Possibly corrupted.
I just validated files and all files validated successfully.
And losing all your gear and equipment in the far off the map desert? That does not seem like a viable work around.
I know it’s not the best of choices. But what other choice is there on an official server?
If it’s a privately run server, then you would have to contact the one who admins it.
If all files validated and it is a new save, new game, how would the player fix that?
I am starting to get nervous about going anywhere that has a load door.
Depending on how many people it affects, that’s something the devs would have to address.
There is alternate pathways to get into the volcano that have no midsection to pass through. They are clear pathways. Just have to find them.
I know, Dragonmouth is the most direct route to Well of Skelos.
I did send a bug report in with the linked video. I guess wait and see if it gets fixed.
I hope it gets worked out and good luck in taking alternate routes.
Thank you, I think I’ll just go back to Siptah, it seems to be in a bit better shape. ![]()
So in testing this I have a theory. I used admin to warp over and run to the location in coop. First try I landed in the same location of the map you did. I readjusted the movement speed multiplier and it stopped working.
I could be wrong, but I think it might be related to admin mode but more importantly, movement speed multiplier. What I think is happening is the player is ending up in the wrong location when the teleport takes effect, which results in sling shotting the player to that end (out of bounds) location.
I had not adjusted movement speed. I only admined to teleport to the location, stood still, then ran normally into the cave. If that is confusing the game, we’re all in real trouble. lol
Have you tried walking into that spot when you’re close to it?
Not sure what you mean.
I logged out right there, but I am level two and no food or armor, the cold will kill me, but I will give it a shot.
If you’re using admin mode, just switch on “god mode” and you should be okay.
If nothing else, you can give yourself what you need to survive. (Arena Champion armor).
I’m not sure what to think. I logged out and logged back in, turning off admin mode. It took me about 8 or 9 attempts but I did manage to get it to spawn me in 014. As I mentioned before, I think it’s miscalculating player location at the time of repositioning via portal.
What’s really interesting though is it keeps placing me in the same location (NW O14). I wouldn’t be surprised if a developer created a warp location at 014 and accidently left it in the game.
EDIT: Okay, I know why. If you use the fly command you’ll see that the interiors of dragonmouth directly above where you are spawning at on O14. I actually managed to touch the portal on O14 by simply flying upwards from where it spawns you.
