I have characters on both the Exiled Lands and Siptah. I’ve played on many servers. After a Siptah server is merged, is there a risk that characters will be overwritten?
Yes. The new character overwrites the old one. If you don’t wanna lose the old one, you must move it to a different server prior to the forced merger. If you know the server you’re being merged with, you can move your character to it after waiting 24 hrs from when you moved the other character.
Server crash that blows up the bank of servers cascading into all other games and a complete market crash unheard of since the time of ET the video game.

this is if we get the server transfer renabled and if we get a comprehensive list ahead of time
They will if they do mergers. It’s a given. They did that last time. If you’re on Steam, idk… not much time to salvage your character if they haven’t reenabled them yet.
But the server transfer was suspended…
Server transfer is different than the Siptah server merger. Yes transfers are disabled so you cant load a character into a server that already has one.
For the Siptah merger though, that much is not clear. I will assume server merging with another server its same time zone but we will need a list of who is going where to ensure there is any overlap as one character may overwrite the other.
They mentioned having 3 characters available though not sure if that was for officials or even if that was taken into account to avoid the above issue.
