I run two local servers. One Exile Lands and One Siptah. I’m the only one that plays on them.
I believe, after the enhanced version conversion both become a joint server.
On what was my Siptah server my Siptah character will spawn at the starting point on Exile Lands.
Given the enhanced version allows 3 characters it would be good if I could do a “merge” transfer of my old siptah character to the old Exile Lands server as my second character.
That way I only have to run one server and choose between my two characters.
Both are on the same steam id.
Also I haven’t played for a long time. From memory both characters leveled to the maximum level, and complete all of each map or at least to the point that there was really nothing left to do.
what rare or important items or resources should I put on my siptah characters prior to the conversion?
I’m not sure if it works quite the way you think. I’ve seen several reports that the ‘3 characters’ may only apply to singleplayer (I’m really not sure, maybe it does also apply on servers).
I’d recommend making a full back-up of each server database - that way you should be able to open either one in UE4 after the update, if you need to.
As for what items to take with your Siptah character - that really depends what you want to keep. If you want to go to the effort, you could load up the inventories of your followers as well - they should all transfer with the character (they’ll stay in the ‘cloud’ until you place a foundation/start building a base, then you’ll be able to place them from the ‘followers’ tab).
Honestly what I would recommend for you, given that it’s been a long time since you played - it might be worth just starting fresh (it’s what I’m going to do), there’s been a lot of changes to the game over the last few years, so you might enjoy doing the new journey etc. If you keep a backup of the old databases (particularly if you load up the followers of your Siptah character before backing up), then you can always go back to it later if you prefer. Just a thought, choice is yours of course
