If you like crafting variety - Siptah is for you

I left the world of Conan Exiles, shortly after they announced the new Siptah version of the game. They called it an expansion, but as of yet, it is really it’s own game - just build on the same platform as the original. The good news is it really is becoming an expansion of the game, with the future 2.4 release, which will allow travel between Siptah and Exiled Lands.

After 3 weeks of exploring Siptah, in the 2.3 patch from TestLive, (no spoilers), I just want to say that the new recipes for crafting are generally outstanding! The variety is amazing. For the world of weapons, it is about equivalent to how the DLCs gave us a ton of armor variety, but rather than $10 each, spanning 2 years of DLCs, we get them all in one Siptah DLC. You have to discover them (or admin cheat), but they are pretty fantastic.

It isn’t just weapons either. Amazing new armors and a ton of other useful crafts/decorations.

The map isn’t my favorite, but it is a place where I can learn new things AND there are really some beautiful locations that I enjoy as much or more than the Exiled lands, but overall, EL map is superior. Stay tuned for a big map expansion though and after that, I may decide Siptah is even better.

Just my 2 cents, but I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase of Siptah and am really looking forward to the 2.4 release, where I can enjoy all the craft benefits on both maps.

Funcom spent a lot of time running 2.3 on Testlive, so hopefully we discovered most of the biggest issues and it can be a much smoother than typical release. 2.3 should be available to all shortly, so go check it out and enjoy!

I agree with you here.

Only thing that Bothers me is that some mechanics will be gone, mechanics that Made siptah unique.

Have the delved armors Different models or just the same? I delve hyperborean and i get vicious, which looks the same.

@sirvink,
I love your post.
Recently I started playing Siptah, and have decided I am not going to rush through it and just take my time and try to enjoy it.
When I first started I was not impressed with the map, but once I moved to the interior, I built a small base at the forks of a river, and I just stop and stare in amazement at the scenery.
If you are not playing Siptah in Ultra, you are missing out on some amazing graphics.

But the helmet is new! Creating all new art for each piece is pretty time consuming and delving is really just finding a better way to make the existing recipe I think, so it probably makes a lot of sense to leave them mostly the same. At most, maybe the devs could give them some different dyes for quick visual distinction.

This i could work with.
