Not the greatest picture setup of the Sandstorm Set 1 (granted this was a quick setup). Realized, I did not use one of the pieces and had one of the sloped roof pieces that was part of the base game. My mistake there.
wak4863 video on this set.
The Video forgot to mention the Ceiling pieces (2) Flat Thatch Roof and Rough Timber Ceiling.
I watch @Pixelcave for building tips, @Wak4863 mostly for general reasons and kiah to cheer up. The last months another great builder added to my YouTube favorites, Barden, the one I met on @Multigun discord.
This photo goes to @Pixelcave for his outstanding reference for timber, I think that this explanation how to use the new stair pieces is missing.
If I had to choose between a sandstone gateframe 3x4 and a sandstone gate frame 2x2, I would definitely choose the 2x2. We need this piece. Sandstone houses is ridiculous to go 4 walls high blind eye they loose their grace. Sandstone building represents the traditional farming house, it should not go very high. Other than that we need to fix proper horse barns tier 1, so 2x2 gates and frames are very important!
Oh, that’s an interesting idea for using the stairs indeed. Unfortunately, we couldn’t experiment with these pieces in that way when we previewed the set, as the inverted version of the Rough Timber Stairs wasn’t in game yet ahead of launch. Thanks for the tip!
I have to say, the Interior Wide Wall is really great, would love to see more of this type of building pieces (maybe outside of the Bazaar ).
I fix a post some time ago thanking them for this update! All the things, at least the most this update has, are what we keep dreaming all these years! Ofcurce I didn’t type my enthusiasm correctly and fellow members informed me that this post look like that they zero this update on my wishes which was absolutely not what I wanted to say. https://forums.funcom.com/t/i-cannot-thank-you-enough-devs/207008/25
A lot of things are dreams come true, a lot of things, the list is huge!
Anyway, I will close grabbing the chance to thank you for all your stunning work, the help you provided me all these years and above all for your exceptional character. Your reactions here in the forum are always exact, to the point and only helpful! Thanks a million, keep up the fantastic work
This thread needs to be the only thread the devs look at with regard to the cash shop. I have no idea where they’re looking for their guidance on this, but this is hands-down the WORST cash shop I’ve EVER seen in the course of 25 years of online gaming. I cannot even begin to fathom in what reality a seven-offering cash shop with only two weekly rotations (and both rotations consistently being terrible – war paint and wall paint of a shark?! What the HELL?!?) would be considered desirable by either the playerbase OR the shop’s owners!
I really do think at this point Funcom’s tanking on purpose. I think they didn’t want to do a cash shop, I think Tencent forced it onto them, and I think the shop sucks by design so that we’ll get pissed off and give them cover to not have to do it.
If that’s the case, Funcom? Grow a pair and just tell them you don’t want to do it, because that would be miles better than this mockery of capitalism.
@Pugilist
I remember a reference of @DelRioServerMaster. He bet in a night amounts that others make in a year and others in some countries a lifetime! Like you said, this means nothing, even him can be upset from the bazzar policy!
Playing a lot with building mode and what can i say lads…
Default gates are TOO big for most builds and styles…
WE DESPERATLY need 2x2 gate frames with gate doors… (like stables DLC) so we can fit it with different culture sets.
Now we can build 2x2 gates by ourselves (just using walls, foundations and celling\roof pieces\arches)… but without 2x2 frame+doors its just a decorations and not functional point of entry.
Well put. I agree completely. I have also noticed watching for new items to hit they just rinse and repeat previous items on the store like they think you wont notice and will buy it again. There is no creativity or imagination what so ever in this. Love conan but when it comes to store items they really drop the ball in comparison to well…every game
I think what OP wants from the bazaar - and I do too - is stuff that fits a bit better with the source material?
It’s a low fantasy setting. I mean it’s set on earth in the distant past! Most of the weapons and armour we’re getting look like something from WoW or Warhammer, or maybe D&D. Blocky gold dipped things or like, the twisty black stuff that looks like the daedric weapons from Skyrim. There’s a lot of space in the lore for different human cultures with different tech levels but simple practical steel or stone statues etc. have way more right to be in Hyborian Age than what we’ve seen so far. Also, you might think “normal” looking stuff is boring, well I think fantasy looking stuff is boring! So there, we cancel each other out.
I understand this is the Age of Sorcery but I certainly hope future ages offerings lean more towards gritty low fantasy than what we have seen so far.
Just a funny aside too: last week I logged on to buy the Aesir armour because I like the helmet but ruh-roh! Turned the game on and there was a surprise forced update file that took nine hours to download and install. I was not allowed to use netowrk features until the update was done, was unable to log on in time and didn’t get the thing I wanted to buy. It’s now gone and I can’t even steal or bargain one from another player. Oh and Funcom didn’t get my money. I mean it’s their loss at this point
I will say that it does take a monumental amount of crap to upset me in this game, considering I bought it 5 times over and invested time and energy into acquiring my own personal servers for it.
Just from a standpoint of value, I still can’t reconcile the bazaar and the prices at hand. I won’t say I’m angry…just disappointed commences dad glare.
The disappointment was enough to disenfranchise me from the game for awhile, enough to gasp go back to World of Warcraft TEMPORARILY.
Although I am curious about this new stream and the news therein…
I’ve bought most of the DLC packs to date because not only were they actually good value, it was also to support the developers. I liked the fact they were optional and completely relied on whether you yourself percieved them as value or not.
Your game world was also improved by the diversity of other peoples builds - gone are the early days of seeing only sandstone bases everywhere etc.
But the pricing on these individual bazaar pieces is offensive. I fully expected them to go down this route when they announced the bazaar, but hoped otherwise.
There is nothing in the bazaar that is comparable to the DLC packs price vs value wise. It’s hard not to feel offended at the blatant stitchup of it. This combined with an extremely average battle pass has left a sour taste in my mouth.
