In-game explanation for server transfers?

Maybe I’m the only one that worries about this, but is there an in-game explanation/mechanism for server transfers? This game is so immersive, and they put more thought than even a lot of novelists usually do into explaining how and why all these people are running around this enclosed space, possibly immortal, and how they can escape. Even the fast travel system is well-thought out to show that it’s rare and ancient magical tech unique to the Exiled Lands and its history.

And then one day it just seems like “oh now you can leave and come back whenever you want.” The slave boat bit at the start of Siptah explains how you got to the island, but what about established characters from the Exiled Lands? One day they just wake up on Siptah and didn’t have to worry about the Keystone and everything? It bothers me a bit.

You were summoned through a Wild Surge. There you go

Ha! That’ll have to do I guess. It’d be nice if there was a short cut-scene showing this. I can’t remember right now but Siptah characters don’t have bracelets right? Must have fallen off in the Outer Dark…

Funny, I really was expecting more people to be like “yeah I wonder that too” but apparently I was the only one who cared lol

Oh, it’s not that I don’t care, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to use that one

It was a common joke during Siptah early access: “Now we know what happens to the thralls that fall through the ground in Exiled Lands – they end up here!”

They actually do, as your enemies use that to bind any sorcerers so they can’t do magic while being transported to the Exiled Lands (or if you end up interrupted by shipwrecking on Siptah).

Huh. So whatever magic gets someone from the Exiled Lands to Siptah is more powerful than the green wall.

Note that I’ve stopped asking if there’s an explanation for server transfers (there apparently isn’t), and started rationalising how it could work in-universe. The next question is: people getting from Siptah into the Exiled Lands. They somehow manage to get past the sea monsters I suppose.

Yes. The magic of 300 foundation is strong

Now in game reason for the switch…I like the surge idea. Siptah gets tired of you and you constantly breaking into vaults stealing eldarium and such. Throws you through the surge…back to exiled lands. Now exiled lands to Siptah…I always like the idea you get the bracelet off, leave. Get drunk in celebration and get sold into slavery and put on a ship. Nice circle of life going on.
