Increase LV cap to 100

Wasn’t trolling at all, just as @Bungyfreek pointed, my vision of “massive” is more than 100 players online at a time in the same server.

But if you say so, its ok then, wish you the best in life man.

I would agree that a level cap increase should come with new biome content. I would still like to see stat/feat points awarded for completing the chapters of the journey. It would, in my opinion, make finishing chapters more worthwhile and provide a more significant sense of accomplishment.

I also agree, level cap increase should come with new biome content, or new contents in general with upped difficulty and more powerful creatures.

And for balancing the game without breaking older contents, because as our character grew stronger old contents will be much weaker. I’d suggest that the game makes up a story like for example, in the new area some god grants him power to go beyond lv 60, or the gravitiy in this new biome is weaker for our exile and thus makes him stronger and that translates to more level, but when visiting older areas, our character’s strength or stat goes back to capped 60, or whatever works.

As for weapon, keep adding numbers will create power_creep, instead the new biome will feature different mechanic, for example the biomes are inhabited by demonic creatures so demonic damage is separated from the usual damage, something like that, or again whatever works with the lore.

So like ARK single PLAYER OFFLINE is forced to cheat instead of learn the game? How annoying.

Though I do agree with Caco there. Though what he replied on seems ironically meant. (Like “sure, it fits “MMO” - comes with “massive” amounts of levels, has “multiplayer” and is “online”.”)

Even wiki says about mmorpgs to have thousands of players in one persitant world. Meaning one server.
So I would disagree on calling mobas (which seems to be the word someone was looking for) mmos.

I think of 200 vs 200 people as the core element of mmo(rpg)s.
Or when one cant see anything because of so many players standing in some area. When the machine cannot even load more due to too many toons.

As for the topic itself, it feels dull how even level 1 people can start their journey into the highlands, building their hut and survive there. I would suggest different biomes resulting in clearly seperate difficulties. Like something “telling” you: Nope, you need to grow stronger to defeat this.
Maybe even to a point people would have to get to know each weapon and would need the perfect weapon, armor and stat combo to survive in an endgame area. Currently there are only very few enemies which mean deadly harm.
That being said, I would have preferred for the cap level not having been increased. But thats only me. And I dont really care though.

MMORPGS… are different then… MMO

Lets just go with a simple definition.

an online video game which can be played by a very large number of people simultaneously.
“a well-made fantasy MMO”


massively multiplayer online game: any online video game in which a player interacts with a large number of other players.


conan is limited by its code to handle more then 40+ at a time… if you got on a server with 70+ you would see it as being completely unplayable…

but as Life is Feudal has shown a sandbox survival games can easily be turned into a full fledged MMORPG on a rather grand scale…

the key to an mmo is interaction with 100s of players which its easily done… on our server we have people coming on that are new all the time… though of course 40+ cant be online at the same time… but we have easily ran into over 100 on the server…

and i woudl save Moba’s are more so mmo’s then even CE due to the fact you can easily connect with 1000s of players via the IN GAME chat rooms… just because your not actually doing a match all at the same time with 100s doesn’t mean your not interacting or have the chance to interacting with 100s if not 1000s of other players in game.

Just if they add new maps with harder NPCs. For now the game is even with LVL 60 way too easy.

I see no reason for new area. Just increase max LV cap to 100. After 60 it 4 stats points per level. Making total cap 550. Which is below 600.

If you’re playing on single player, you can make yourself an admin and give yourself more points.

FunCom will most likely add 10 more levels with each major dlc coming out.

That would equal 100 if they cap at 100. Sorcery it’s own major dlc. I am going to see 50 nerf stat points topics or more when they do increase the cap. Thought I save everyone the trouble by suggesting 4 stats points gain at 61-100.

This game isn’t ARK, and is pretty much balanced with the current build. Again with each level you gain skill points and perk points, more items will be added with each DLC to justify a level increase.

Depending on how much content they plan to release, keeping the level at 60 and then adding additional levels after each dlc makes sense.

There is no need for lvl 100 at this moment, 60 is fine as of the current build.

Don’t scream nerf when they do go over to 600 or more just from 60-70. My idea offer a solution to keeping stat points under 600.

All I’m saying is that I see no need to increase the level cap. New content with new items makes sense to increase the level cap to accommodate the new items.

Ok, as lvl 100 seems absurd to me (just use one of those mods?!) as I really dont understand the need for it.
Enemies are weak enough on 60. Only archers would need 100. (Ouch!)

So to offer some counterbalance:
Why not even get Funcom to rebalance and nerf us down to 50?

lvl 100 would be way to high of a jump in the first place… i could see how you might ask for a +10 lvl boost… but +40 out of the gate lol…

and again the game is to easy… your simply asking hey give us +40 more lvls for more feats and more stat points…

I haven’t reached 60, but how many stats can we maxed out with the current points at 60 ?
