Insta-kill of unconscious enemies

There were some other threads on this topic. I suggest to give religious weapon a feature of insta-killing unconscious enemies. It’s too silly to jump for several minutes around Thralls lying unconscious while you can kill them standing with a couple of hits. I can’t tell my Captain whom to knock down and whom to kill - so she knocks down all of them 'cause I don’t want to miss some named Thrall (and I get no loot and no religious tokens without those dances around unconscious enemies trying to kill them).

I quite agree. If there’s a balance issue (knock-downs in some cases being easier to achieve than kills) then that also needs fixing, but it doesn’t really seem to happen so much any more.

I agree totally.
Every time I go to sepers, the galleon or assgarth, most of the thralls are koed and no one bothers to chop them.
If it was 1 hit to execute, this problem might go away.
I can understand someone lower level that doesn’t have a telith not wanting to put in the 12 or so swings with a steal sword to clean up their mess.
It takes me about 6 chops on the thralls in assgarth to do the job with telith.

I play SP so I just leave them where they are… 2-3 chops to kill some standing T1 Fighter - and lots of time to kill his unconscious body to get religious token because you just miss objects on the ground. When Thrall falls on some elevated place at your eyes level it’s very easy but not on the ground.

Interesting take, though a common finisher would be to my liking. One that has a devoted animation sequence and perhaps multiple weapon specific results. Act itself needs to matter, that is. Not the weapon essentially. :slightly_smiling_face:

I support this idea.

An idea how this could be done is to show the “harvest” option like with dead bodies. So you can use your harvest instrument by preference. Of course the victim is slaughtered by the first hit…

If you wield an axe, you’ll behead the body. If you wield a sacrificial dagger, you’ll take out their heart. If you wield a skinning knife, you’ll skin them off their hide. If you wield a pick, you’ll plunge it into the body and throw it on your back to carry it with you wherever you want to carry it. With a pickaxe you’ll have a choice to either behead or carry them or both.

Et cetera…

More accurately put…

None of these would actually destroy our corpses though, but simply leave us with diminishing returns. Behead the body once and we obviously can’t repeat it again. Take out the heart once and it can’t be carved out again. Skin the hide once and you can’t have more of it.

To actually get a salvageable body or corpse from us again, we would have to logout first. Otherwise the corpse just appears wherever we happen to die and decays in its own timeframe, without giving us anything and just looking like a heartless, headless, hideless carcass of a humanoid. Maybe adding an additional two hour timer to the mix would suffice, forcing us to stay offline for a moment. :thinking:
