Been looking for the cave on the Siptah map and can’t find it.
Is the cave only accessible on EL?
Thanks

Which cave are you looking for?
The cave from the Chapter 4 Stream. I apologize should have been more specific.
I have been on Beta and can’t seem to find it. I looked around the new siege camps as well as the event hub. No luck.
Can’t help you there, mate. I’m on console. No beta for me!
Ummmmm and no hints from the bloody tongue?
I looked around for about 45 minutes yesterday and couldn’t find it. I refreshed my tavern about 10 times, no sign of Xil. I even ghosted under the map to look around, but no bueno.
In the Admin Panel, there are separate versions of The Tongue for her Siptah and EL dialogue, but no distinction for Xil. Either the cave is very well hidden on Siptah, or it’s not there, I’m personally thinking the latter
What purpose does the cave serve?
The cave is where the hidden boss of the Event is summoned.
It is also the only way to get the super special secret vanity reward.
The cave on TEL is for the alternative path through the quest.
You speak to Xil the Wanderer and he directs you to the cave beneath Al-Merayah, where you fight Jhebbal Sag’s first champion. He drops Ancient Blood, which you mix with the Grand Champion lure to taint it. You can then lure the Werebear with the Tainted Grand Champion Lure to get a slightly harder fight (bigger health pool), and when it dies, you’ll get a Corrupted Savage Horn. After it decays, it turns into a regular Savage Horn, and you can use it to get the Werebear as a follower.
It’s still possible to “complete” the event on Siptah and defeat the final boss, but as far as I’ve found so far, no way to earn him as a follower
Cool cool thanks. It’s all good. I’am happy the developers gave Siptah destructible bases and 99% of the new event.
I can definitely live with that.
Did some more digging today, turns out Xil can spawn on Siptah, he just seems a bit rarer than TEL, though I’m working from a small sample size with that statement.
Currently hunting around for a cave on Siptah. His dialogue is identical to TEL, so there’s a lot of qualifying places to search
There are sooooo many caves that can be expanded. But if I was doing it, it would the fuming cave so that it limits accidental stumbling and no one in their right mind would build there.
Another option would put something close the the stone bunny. Still trying to figure that one out.
Just checked the Fuming Cave and every other cave listed on the Verbatten Interactive IoS map, no such luck. I also checked the Kurak cave ofc, but nothing.
I initially thought it could be in X’Chotl or on the Isle of Dusk, but I’ve pulled nothing there. I also thought the Den of the Wolfmen might have had a good chance, but also nothing there.
If it is indeed the cave, it’s incredibly well hidden, I can’t find anything by undermeshing nor checking the existing caves. If it’s just the stone plinth somewhere on the map, then god help us
based on experience , test live will not get any update to this build, so the IoS XIl fix will come with hotfix AFTER the age of war chapter 4 launches.
and they will most likely launch a different build that is not tested (in testlive)
There doesn’t need to be a Xil fix, he is spawning on IoS, the only issue is finding the cave
Tried the cave hidden by a waterfall?
Are you searching for it in single player mode, @Eradicati0n ?
If so, just turn ghost on, set fly speed to the max and pierce through everything. The dungeon itself might be located beyond the map borders.
I am indeed. I’ve pretty much undermeshed the entire map at this point I don’t think it’s out of map borders, the cave on TEL doesn’t have a loading screen so I think it just de-loads everything outside of the cave. If it’s an overground altar like the rest, it’ll just be dumb luck of stumbling upon it at this point
@Lucidique I did check that cave, alongside all the others marked on the interactive map. No luck unfortunately
Siptah has 2 underwater caves too. People don’t know them and they are wonderful sight seeing. If i had to hide a boss, it would be in a place that people didn’t visit enough. So take your chance there too @Eradicati0n
I checked both of them too I’m gonna do a double-check today to see if I’ve missed it in one of the caves, it’s proving incredibly elusive thus far though
