Then try kiting npcs over to it (get things to get things to chase you and run up to and around the thrall(s) till they go aggro. Eventually the thralls will die. It’s annoying that you need to do it, but it works. Bonus. You get to harvest the dead creatures. Not-bonus - the placed thrall (may) gain experience?
On PvP players place thralls near bases before attacking as they are useful places to drop some loot and then run away/defend themselves. Once dead, you can loot that too.
That thing with palisades not affecting thralls is AAArgh! I could understand why not, but I don’t think that should be a thing.
I think the best alternative is to kill it by guiding creatures to it, like Grymm said.
But if you just want it to get out of your way for you to build something, provided you unlocked the necessary spell, you can go in range of the thrall and use that spell that lures thralls and mobs. It will try to kill your image while you place the blocks where he was previously standing.
So they are using thralls to prevent you from building? Sounds like a breach of ToS. Report them. This is no different than putting up foundations for no reason.
Yea it’s just placed at the very edge of my land claim because I didn’t put claims around my base as I was afraid that could be an “offense”. This server was wiped a few years ago because of spam and griefers.
I did manage to get the horse killed but so everyone knows horses flee combat which is likely why they used horse. It got stuck in stone and the mobs killed it but was a pain and almost afraid to report anyone lol.
Not really. You send your ticket with a picture of the thrall on guard duty next to your base. You also include a picture of where it is on the map. Explain the details how it is inhibiting your building and the thralls are not yours and on guard duty which means they don’t leave until the owner gets them and you cannot do anything to remove them yourself. Also state you do not have a means to identify who the thralls belong to but since it serves no other purpose but to limit you.
The enforcement team, if they agree, will go to the server and investigate. If they see the thralls there, they will probably just insta-kill them. I do not know if they will drill down to the clan that put them there but it’s resolved. If it continues, keep reporting and in each report, tell them the # cycle (IE 2nd time, 3rd time) At the third time, I would also include that you feel that this is now harassment and wish to escalate the investigation to whoever these thralls belong to.
Now that the horse is gone we coolectively expect you have placed a small, elevated guard tower with am archer thrall in it to guard your base from future purges? And have also done one or two more similar, elevated guard towers similar distance from base as guard towers. As long as the three or four guard towers are still quite close to your base, that should be well within the Server Guidelines of base and purge protection to qualify as ‘spam builds’ (all depends on your current main base footprint).
