Game mode: Online - Private server
Type of issue: [Stability - base building]
Server type: [ PvE]
Region: [US]
Since the last update i’ve been noticing an issue with building pieces. When building a structure at least 10 -15 pieces tall I started to notice that something was wonky with the stability as peices that should have snapped correctly or had stability to support other peices were not updating to higher stability when reinforced from the ground up. An example was I was building a roof and realized that I needed to reinforce a section so I built a wall from a foundation peice with 100% stability all the way up to the section that was at 20% stability. When I connected the bottom peice to the peice that needed to be shored up the stability went to 0%. I thought it was a glitch so I tried taking my in and out, to no avail and then tried re logging in to also no avail. What I had to do was to completely tear down the section of the base that needed to be shored up and rebuilt it from scratch.
This is but one example as I have noticed the same with with stairs, and building pillars or walls from the top down. It seems like the pieces are not updating when a higher stability piece is connected and instead are connecting to a different piece and its frustrating as heck since there is no pickup option and so you lose resources. I do have a few mods on the server I play on but they are;
LBPR
PIPPI
Hosav’s UI mod
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
- Build a large structure with stairs and a roof
2.Modify said structure and shore up weaker points of the base with walls and pillars
3.Take out hammer and check stability
4.try to put new base pieces and realize you can’t and tear down and rebuild section.
