It is officially Pay 2 Win

Ever have a leveled queen sand reaper? WAAAY stronger, and better for it. Imo, all the strongest pets should be on that level.

Does the Sand Reaper Queen have a homing attack with decent range?

The sand reaper queen (which BTW I keep forgetting about just because I hate earwigs) has that stacked attack that layers like 8-10 poison on you and it’s ranged. I haven’t tried them out with this new recentering thing this chapter but they were real easy to dodge before if you weren’t preoccupied.

Very slow and telegraphed attack, can’t even remotely compare to the Giant Snake’s bite.

You’re better off getting a few pesky Green Sand Reapers who mostly spam this super fast stacking poison attack, but they will die quickly even at LVL 20.

Yeah but the snake is very much telegraphed as well. At least the noise is.

Two slow tail swings before spewing poison with a delay?
You can sidestep that while crippled.

The snake opening its mouth, slight delay, then biting at the beginning of its animation?
You have to dodge with timing that’s close to perfect… And lag exists too…

Just how much cognitive dissonance right now?

I just don’t see it being OP. Yes there is poison on each attack and but since I do lots by sounds I don’t have issues with dodging based on the specific sounds I hear. In the heat of all things going on in some combat, I trust the sounds far more than the visuals since the visuals may not be on screen but the sound is always there and if I hear it, i’m dodging regardless if I see it or not.

As far as lag goes, lag is lag and screws you on any attack. It’s a great equalizer as far as that goes.

I’m not saying it’s OP, we don’t have enough data and experience to be definitive about whether it’s useful or useless; I’m saying, however, that it is much better than the Sand Reaper Queen, and that there is no equivalent to the Giant Snake’s attack for any pet whatsoever.

All that is true and can’t argue that. From my experience though, I bring what pet works best. My greater rocknose goes against undead, poison dealers, and large # of mobs, my scorpion goes is my swiss army knife, and the snake is against living bosses (which is why it died the want it did, Red Mama didn’t want to aggro on me when the snake’s health was tanking and I couldn’t get away fast enough)

The entire pet is akin to most of the greaters I use now. Each has plusses and minuses and the snake fits perfectly in there. With that in mind, it’s not p2w but more p2o (option as in have more).

Once again I ask of funcom for an age of quality of life.
