I think the undermeshing being mentioned is using the ability to pivot your lying down toon to minimize what is visible while the rest of you is hidden by the scenery. It’s technically undermeshing but not what we all talk about when speaking of undermeshed base
@erjoh yes this is how I do it. I have quite a few spots where I can lay down and my entire player character is enveloped in the “soft spots” of the overlapping terrains. I don’t consider it cheating at all bc I am accessible to any player who can just walk up and maybe find me and can be killed which I know coz I’ve done it by accident to my own bv’s. It’s a sound tactic.
it was actually amusing to me and you can still go watch the live chat
“we have heard your complaints and we acknowledge them hot button issues that people have been talking about hot topic issues we have seen on social media etc”
Live chat is popping off
“when are you stopping the cheaters!”
and then they say it the hot button issue of the day
“invisible animals and isle of siptah client crash”
Not seen an invisible animal myself (XD) and who is playing isle of siptah in 2023? literally no one.
Invisible stuff, as far as I know, was mostly PS5.
Plenty of people enjoy Siptah, less PvP players though if I’m not mistaken.
Also Consoles were a mistake, No living developed game can benefit from console integration.
Best thing they could do for consoles and PC is freeze it in a developmental period of conan classic (may even draw nostalgic PC players too)
I wish there was more siptah content in exile lands, the percentage base of players that play siptah is so remarkably low for a wide factor of reasons, top siptah servers are low pop exile land servers and the map is practically abandoned everything added to it is a tag on theres no attempt to advance its story or develop further for it, it would be a waste of time to do so.
Best thing they could do for siptah enjoyers all 6 of you is if they gave the map away for free, but pop would still split and map would still require choice and the exile lands is just better.
Tell that to the bottom line. CE would have never lasted this long without the console players and their pocketbooks. It’s real easy to make statements about how consoles are limiting play but you can’t say that and in the same breath talk about how the monetization efforts are a waste because you can just download a mod for free. Someone has to fund the actual development of the game and consoles have no other option but the BLB. Plus the surcharges of the consoles aren’t the significant issue anymore as Steam has similar charges.
Just be careful what you wish for because from a business standpoint, consoles are consistent revenue while PC gamers are more fickle about things. If you truly wish to separate the game, I don’t think you will like where it will actually go.
We all do. Even in PVE maps I retire from. Well not anymore since my toon disappearance is significantly shorter than the life of the building.
Consoles are and forever have been a mistake that limits development, patching, binds the game to bad performance and I hardly have ever seen the console players happy, something is always severely going wrong with the game as its updated to suit it.
Kinda crazy to just assume console players are a profit draw many I have heard got the game for free or part of a console live service subscription, I dunno any indication on why PC players which in general buy more DLC’s (In 2022, DLC sales accounted for 13% of PC revenue and 7% of console revenue in the US) would somehow close their pocketbooks because mods exist… so the stats just don’t favour this outlook at all.
There is also no reason you couldn’t also freeze development and keep a cash shop updated either.
It really depends. What if instead of wasting time on doing a bad port, the developers invested their time in making the game actually better on its main platform, PC?
→ You might have a really good game that sells really well, and with DLCs that sell really well too
Instead, we have a game with a massive amount of wasted potential that got ported to consoles only for a cheap profit and a miserable result on there
It’s a combination of the game’s age and mods tbh.
The majority of PC player base are either pve/single-player people or roleplayers.
Both use easy-to-access mods you can simply subscribe to via Steam Workshop.
So when those players take a look at the bazaar that sells 5 deco items for 20 or so USD (just random numbers) and a free mod that adds like 300+ deco pieces for free…I think the choice is pretty clear.
funcom intends to eliminate the protection of a god by logic should prohibit an attack from a god in a siege. On the contrary, instead, they could give us more siege weapons and make the bases more resistant.
In some religions you may get zeal for resources, making god statues. And if you know some tips and tricks on how and where farm require resources more efficient it is acceptable. But anyway it takes some effort.
Many depend on the place and how to build. If it is a cailing base the only sorcery you can use it is an ice bridge. Yes, if you are near walls, even inside GB you can make a damage. But the damage will be lower and the process will be much slower.
GB doesn’t give you total invincibility, it just gives you more protection and intended allow time.
6574 people playing on steam right now.
I counted literally 95 people playing siptah, at least half on 1-2 player servers, the largest server being 12 people.
1.445% of the playerbase.
Guess it’s easy to build RP ships when there is no one else on the server.
It is. Offline killing is a bit frustrating, and in my experience, a hobby for many, even though you are still in iron tech. I got tired of it, and learnt the point.
I play in 6416. One or two years ago, it was very active. Then came the multiple bugs implemented with Age of Sorcery - like demolition status for pillars, the crashing in SW area,…- and currently is a bit risky to play with such unstability. Hope they mend it.
You keep using the word “literally”. Literally speaking, “literally no-one” and “literally 95 people” are mutually exclusive.
The great advantage of Single-Player is that there’s literally never anyone else on the server.
would you prefer I use the words practically and in actuality?
People tend to engage in such fallacy of language when they have little to refute your arguments.
Literally everyone knows that
