It is VERY, VERY SAD about God bubbles, guys.

If you are a solo PVP or small 3-4 players clan that is near zero chance to protect your base from biggest clan cause now they just can for example in 8-10 faces shot your base with arrows like from machine gun and you may repair or not repair it wont help a lot, cause it’s much faster than bombs.Small clan, without a God bubble will be constantly getting wiped cause they simply cannot defend with 3 players against 8-10 man clans.
Somebody may write: “Oh they are just sitting at their base and repairing”.
Well, sitting your base and repairing it is like in real ancient times when a smaller army could sit in their castle under siege even for years, and that is a lot of examples from real history. But one day they can make a mistake and attackers will use it, a lot of videos about that for example like guys just forget to turn their bubble.:joy: I think Conan, it’s not a short session game like CS or some kind of Battlefield or Mortal Kombat, think Conan it’s about longest term decisions. It might be better to make the price of repairing and the price of GB much, much higher so that those who use it feel much more tension. And also, more members in your clan then higher GB price will be. But anyway even sitting “under siege” you should do something, keep your GB working, doing materials for repairing etc. Bubbles give some balance for smaller groups in fighting against a vastly superior enemy. Agree, that maybe it should be rebalanced somehow for example as I wrote above, BUT totally Removing the Bubble IS a Big mistake.

i hope and i believe god bubbles cut for sake of future religion overhaul (age of gods)
that’s make sense… if not, well, that would be a great shame

How are small clans able to maintain a god bubble, anyway? Doesn’t it cost 500 zeal every 36 hours?

Because they play the game and know how to efficiently farm the zeal.
I suggest checking religion altars zeal recipes and Jhebbal dungeon.
Who knows? Maybe there’s some eye-opening stuff somewhere in that dungeon.

Yog it’s 1 hour farming. The rest about 3. Not to mention the Mitra burning offers and jhebbal sag. Pvp is grind, serious grind that’s worst than a job. It’s fun when you have people to do it with, but alone? No. At least at the beginning it was fun even alone, but sooner or later you understand that’s pointless. You just grind to feed others. So solo pvp worths only if you don’t grind more than you need to have fun. If i play on small clan i wouldn’t build a tier 3 altar, you instantly give your base position to literally everyone in the game, “hey i am here, come and raid me”. Small clans must relocate fast and be ready to abandon base. Bubbles or not eventually they’ll fall.

no there was only one religion who was allowing easy bubble : yog, because in doing statue with stone & bone you generate zeal, in past was not problem because the amount needed was huge, but it was a time where farming rate was at x1 and quickly x2 on official, and not x8…

so in actual state of x8 farming was a matter of 1hour to farm what needed. and to address what they apparently wanted to address was just a matter to fix yog statue generating zeal…

and i feel it very sad that developers do not even remenber history of what done, because i change farming to x1 to x8 step by step in 2 years, i forgot that yog bubble can be linked to farm of stone and bone, and i dont realize that easy bubble are only linked to yog religion because no zeal needed from npc, and so because i have feedback of some large clan players that are not happy to have to spend some time to raid a solo player that try to survive i choose to remove all god bubble…what to say ?

and it is even worse when dev refuse to look whats happens on their pvp official where problem is not building, or bubble but non legit base of cheaters; and those who will benefit of the non bubble are exactly those non legit player that are already wrecking all officials. it why i call it not a wrong decision to remove bubble, but simply a suicide of the game.

but to comes back on subject of bubble, anyways as solo player playing on official i was able to farm 500 zeals in approx 3h, so yes even a solo can do, and yes it was needed to survive when the usual toxic 10 guys clan that think they are best when they attack 10vs1 jump on your server. a bubble will not in any way save you in long term, but it was making it hard and tough for the 10 lamers.

I play solo on an official pvp server and have stayed at the same server for a year now. I don’t worry about god bubbles at all. But YMMV. I dont think they were particularly useful.

They used to be useful in the past. But now with sorcery there’s quite a few ways for players to gain access to the top/roof of your base so you’re correct they are not that useful anymore. But they did still act as deterrent to help slow the raiders down a little.

EDIT: *but they did protect you from gods.

just a few jars in the front layers of your walls protected you from gods.

Who needs a base when you can have multiple sky/mesh bases? Avatars are a moot point until exploits are finally fixed

@thoth-anon i watched the dev livestream and I did not get the impression that the dev team had any concern for fixing any of the ecploits and glitches. To me he actually seemed like he accepted skybases, my opinion of course, but when he was talking about how the new purge wouldn’t initiate on some bases he did use skybases as an example and even smiled about it, amused.

In my single player game, once upon a time they were for 36 hours, and then one day they became unlimited. I was surprised, but I decided that it was necessary. And since then, for a year and a half, they have been eternal. And on all maps.

Unless you’re keeping your single-player Conan open for 36h straight, I’m pretty sure this has to do with a whacky combination of “server restart” + “things do not exist when outside of render range” :thonk:

i never summoned one, sad. Think i will do it tonight just for know how it looks like

Of course not! Maximum 3-4 hours.

I get the feeling the devs are either under funded/short staffed or maybe don’t understand yet how to patch certain exploits fully. The servers restart every day though, that’s the perfect time to run scripts to delete building pieces in invalid locations off the map at the very least. Or maybe in the future they could just permanently ban exploiters by revoking their copy of the game (unique license ) from ever connecting to official servers again. Then making alts won’t work and if they really want to play again they’ll have to pay for another copy.

Just to be clear on official pvp servers you need a T3 shrine with at least a T3 priest and 500 zeal to put up a god bubble. Once it’s up it lasts for 36 hours so if you do it at the right time it will last for 2 raid cycles. Y’all trollin ’ this guy.

It used to be majestic: a tornado of white light upwards, a black whirlwind in the sky.
God Bubble needs to be nerfed: enables unraidable “safe bases” - General Discussion / Feedback - Funcom Forums
Then it was all removed, leaving only the bubble.

Absolutely agree. As a solo PVP player, it took to me a while to realize that neither building big nor hiding was a reliable strategy - raiding offline is quite easy -. The only two working strategies are to carry your stuff from one part to another, building just while you are online and immediatly dismounting everything after your goal is achieved; or building wide open in a way any raider clan feels a minimum desire to target on you - no chests, no suspicious structures to hide loot -. And, over all, undermeshing to sleep offline.

I never needed undermesh. The map has so many hideouts to sleep, so i never risk cheating.
Other than that, even if i wake up in desert in two hours i am ready. Pvp and desert goes together. Yet i was mostly playing in private servers just because raid off and spawn kill was forbidden.
