Bug Description:

All the items in a full large chest dissapeared, as in just are not there.

Bug Reproduction:

I was recovering from a death, and I have the beast of burden perk, I am always overburdened but unaffected by it until it come to using sorcery. I summoned my corpse, but needed to refill the spell components for another ritual, which you can’t be overburdened for. So I have two large chests that I empty my inventory into to lower my weight carried. One is on the roof of my base right next to the circle of power where I perform the rituals, the second chest is down one floor, on the 3rd floor of my base, so I filled both chests to full and still was over encunbered. I had just finished running Silver mines and had a lot of items in my inventory. So I went down to the second floor of my base, where all the work stations are and run around there foe a while emptying my inventory into the respective workstations, until I was no longer encumbered, I do not know how long this took, but I would guess at least a half hour. I then returned to the roof of my base to perform the rituals needed to reset the summon corpse ritual. Went over to the large chest next to the circle of power and grabbed everything in it. I then went down to the thied floor to get the items I had put in the large chest there, but the chest was empty, unfortunately it had contained all the legendary weapons I had looted from the silver mines, and at least one of my older legendary weapons Aja’s Bane, which is a favorite of mine. I said something in global about all the items going poof and a friend replied “you changed floors”. So apparently there is a bug with changing floors after putting items in a chest. This was the first I had heard of it, and will be moving the second chest to the roof to avoid this happening again, and adding a third chest, cuz I am a packrat and pick up everything I see.

Greetings @bzerk ,

Can you, please, share a screenshot of the event log?

Thank you in advance!

Sorry to be so technicallt enept, but don’t know how to post a screen shot in the forums. However I did look at the event log and it is totally blank
Thanks for replying

Ok I figured it out.hope you can see this

did you press submit button ( on the bottom right side ) ? If not it will show empty , also you want to put the slider of proximity to the maximum ( unless you are very close to the chest/ area )

Way too much hassle for the non-answer I am going to get. None of the items were irreplacable. I have moved on, thanks.

You should try as @Kanza1 has instructed. This might give a hint to what has happened.

Nobody has a clue as to what happened and as you pointed out the other day on my last post, nobody cares. I’m done here, good hunting. Not looking good for me playing Dune, which is why I started playing conan exiles, to see how Funcom’s customer service is. So far not impressed.

I never said any such thing.

If I were to take a crack at what you described it’s either:

A) You were hacked; or

B) User error; or maybe, just maybe

C) A bug

But we cannot come to any inkling of possible explanation without some kind of data other than your account. The logs are a first point of getting that data.

Getting angry at US as players isn’t going to make the answers and your satisfaction magically appear.

Not angry, just being honest, I really just wanted Funcom to be aware that this is happening. Thanks for your response. I am not however going to do their job for them. There is a problem and they need to figure it out. If they can’t do it without my data, then they have bigger issues than I thought.

It’s fair that they should fix whatever causes an issue, 100%.

Hell, I wouldn’t have listed all the bugs I could find and have experienced if I didn’t believe that.

You have 2 vets and a CE Staff member asking you for what might be the very thing that could answer the reason for why this happened to you.

I am having a hard time putting together the events based on your description. I can see where ZahMaiatt may be confused and I myself would have asked for the event log even if they had not.

You don’t have to show us if you don’t want to. If you give up, fine. I wouldn’t blame you on that.

But none of us can help you if you don’t offer a bit more info.

You are the best non-paid customer service rep they have. You are the only one who has responded to both my posts. Good job

It’s always been that the players, by and large, provide help.

I just have a vested interest in the game due to my own personal reasons and to sum it = I love it. I wish the best for it and as cheesy as it is, I want newer players like you to have a good time.

I am really enjoying my play time here. I am retired and spend over 12 hours a day online.

Dude YOU are responsible to make them aware of the issue and provide the information they need to track it down. Just how are they suposed to fix it with out your data?

Now do not get me wrong, funcom has to be one of the most indifferent developers I’ve ever played a game from. But it seems you want to put less effort in to it then them, then blame them for doing a bad job.

I mean I’d want to know just to satisfy my curiosity. But it seems for you just clicking one option to see if it was a bug or a hack, took too much effort.

Why should funcom care any more then you?

I’m retired and spend 18 hours a day online. Chronic insomnia.
Seems a weird flex but ok.

Because they are trying to run a business and receive revenue from it. If the process was easy, it would be different. I don’t care why it happened, but I am not trying to fix it, hopefully they are.

Not to mention the fact that 4 players have responded to my post and not 1 peep out of Funcom. I posted this not to get a response, not to get help, not to recover the lost Items, but to make them aware that there was an issue with the coding in the game. From the amount of similar posts I would say that they are aware of the issue, and as some of the posts are several years old that they have not been able to find the problem and fix it.

I see Kanza, Deac and I, 3 players.

ZahMaiatt is a Funcom employee. They asked for a screenshot of your logs.

Kanza let you know how to use the controls properly on the logs.

You’ve been informed why this is important by players.

I’ve tested so much in this game, I have no idea what you mean in your description. More than likely neither would ZahMaiatt. Which is probably why they asked you for the logs. This is what I would have done first and once received, determined if the cause was apparent or required further investigation.

You’re asking for minds to be read. I’m not sure if you’re only reading half of what people say or what but no one can possibly know what happened without the data point of your logs including Funcom - BECAUSE there a multiple possible causes dude.

you are acting like the problem is going to fixed if I submit my logs, it won’t. I tried what Kanza said to do and could not get it to work, so if having the log information is so critical, submitting it needs to be very simple, it is not. I am not asking for anyone to read my mind or even resolve the problem. I just wanted to make them aware of the issue. Mission accomplished! thanks again for your res[ponse, good hunting.
