Is anyone else having trouble completing the stronghold? i have tried with my sister about 15 times now, and it will not complete the warmakers sanctuary journey. I’ve searched every inch, killed everything and still… nothing!
You have to kill the Champion of the Warmaker alone.
You can use companions as support for this. But your sister has to hold back. She is not allowed to hit him. Otherwise it doesn’t count.
This also applies to you if she wants to archive the journey for herself.

It could be a few things:
Is it your current journey step to either discover or complete Klael’s / Warmaker’s? Which part is it stuck on?
If it’s stuck on discovering it, try hanging around and throwing yourselves around the entrance a bit. Occasionally i only get a map marker for a location on my third or fourth visit because i went past the POI trigger too fast.
If it’s stuck on plundering/completing, you may need to try and interact with the Steles at the last boss of the dungeon, open some rusty key chests and legendary chests and open the chest past the final boss, before the drop off.
Other than that, i can’t really think of anything. I do know landing a killing blow can be a factor, as you can’t ‘complete a purge’ if you don’t actually personally fight the Stygian Hand of War.

Never had this issue. I completed it just fine, as have others that I’ve helped complete it. Not sure if that’s a personal issue you’ve had, or if it’s a new bug. Either way, I can confirm this was never the case before.

Never encountered this, as I play single player. But if so, this should be changed. It’s a multiplayer game. Multiplayer games should… well… be multiplayer friendly.
@ TE: I hope you find a solution. Maybe try soloing it - I have no other idea. Did the journey, the challenge, the dungeon a lot of times and never encountered the bug. So, multiplayer being the culprit sounds stupid, but plausible.

Gotcha! weve been attacking the warmaker together. does this also count for the lady champion as well, or just the warmaker himself?
Exactly.
In a game that encourages cooperative play, the Journey System penalizes it and doesn’t bother to tell you, because, reasons.
But, hey, at least it makes us redo steps over and over unlike the old Journey system that gave you credit for items automatically.

The Journey step only counts when the final boss is defeated. You can literally run through the entire dungeon, kill nothing, then kill the final boss and it should complete. Ignore the Champion as her loot isn’t worth the heartache of being potentially murdered, or losing a thrall or two.
