Steps on how to reproduce issue:
Claim land by building base
Someone else builds too close to base
I do not know if this is a bug or feature, but I cannot build or expand on my base now because the “land is already claimed.” Is there a fix for this? I have been building for a while now in this area, and I did not know someone could build so close to my land Claim. Here are some pics:
Have you communicated with the clan that built close to you? they may not even know they did this.
Also, can you not build inside your land claim? If not then, that is the bug. If you can expand out more, then the claim is working as intended, but you could still see if the other clan may work with you to fix it.
I don’t know who built the little platform, it was outside my house when I logged in this morning. I was trying to replace the sandstone foundations with tier 3, but it won’t let me. Then I tried to add a foundation to my stables, but it won’t let me. The platform is really close to my base,(in the first pic) and I didn’t think that was possible, because I have been in this area for more than two weeks. I will try to catch the person that built the platform, and ask them to please move it, and hope they’re not doing it on purpose.
It’s an intended mechanic to prevent people from spam encasing each other in foundations. Best thing I can recommend is asking your new neighbor to move politely, or if you’re on pvp then clearing that land for your use again
Definitely the bug if you can’t upgrade. The best way to protect against it is to create a wall around the area you want to build next time. Just some sand stone about 6-10 foundations out from the very outer most parts of where you are actually going to build you base.
Use a hammer to see who the owner is. If it is solo player not in a clan, then you won’t be able to tell. Only if they are logged in it will show the single players name. If it is a clan, if i remember red means they are offline, and yellow/white means they are on line. Not 100% on that part.
If you build too close to each other, there is an area where the cland claims of the two clans are overlapping, and you cannot build in this area. Perhaps this is the case.
