Like you, I haven’t actually seen an example of someone saying they received a refund. That doesn’t mean there isn’t one, but not having any evidence of it is concerning, especially since there was at least one case where they released a defective offering and then subsequently clarified that they would not be refunding it. I don’t remember right now if the defect was that it didn’t work, or an item was missing from the bundle, or the description was misleading, but I do remember people clamored about it and they finally said they wouldn’t be refunding it just because of that.
I believe that was the case of the missing… toilet?
(a bit ironic)
I think there is a mandela effect happening.
Zendesk is kinda seen by us older grognard Conan Exiles players as something you use for Funcom server issues. But there is two methods of accessing help. The Help menu option on the title screen takes you to the Zendesk website for Conan Exiles. There’s also the ingame Help request that allows you to fill out a request right there, even has an option for payment issues.
But for 7 years most of us have never associated that with payment issues or other non-FC server related issues.
But as others asked, what is the refund policy? Is there a time limit? Who can ask for a refund? What happens to buildings built with materials that are refunded (I already know, but I wonder if the finance guys offering said refunds understand and accept the implications)?
“if the product has not been downloaded”
Are you For Unlawful Carnal KnowledgING serious

For anyone interested, the links under Funcom Legal for Conan Exiles are not updated. So you cannot read the current ToC or EULA there. They’re both from 2019.
Years ago I read on the forums of someone trying to get a refund for a specific in-game set in the BLB that wasn’t working as intended. (The bathroom set with missing items)
Zendesk told them they could not offer a refund but if they were unhappy with their purchase they could request a refund from Sony.
The only refund available through Sony were the Crom Coins they bought as that’s the only actual purchase they made through Sony. If you ask for a refund of Crom coins and your balance goes into the negatives, you can’t play the game until you’ve rectified that balance to 0+. (As we have learned when tons of people’s balances were incorrectly thrown into the negatives during an update.)
So either you’re stuck with what you’ve bought, or you’re stuck with what you’ve bought, but you’ve also been refunded and can’t play the game.
I love Monopoly money.
Maybe this has changed in recent times, and this is only one experience I’ve heard of, but this is my understanding of funcom’s refund policy.
Not always true, during the crom coin being lost bug few months ago, you (Funcom) refused to refund the extra coins I had to buy to save my base from decay. You refered me to steam instead but they refused. Please refund me all coins on my balance currently as they were purchased only to save my base from that bug that banned alot of us with a negative crom coin balance.
This thread is telling you something with out saying it.
Sorry @Dana seems funcom left you out to dry.
The number of funcom refunds for Bazaar items 0.
Well this seems strange to be saying… but I did receive a refund for the Aquilonian set with the bed. I requested a refund because my character could not actually get on the bed itself. I figure you should be able to sit on a chair, you should be able to lay on a bed. So as far as I was concerned it was broken. I did make the request within 48 hours of purchase. Of course they only refunded my crom coins and I’m sure they would have refused to refund my actual money. Seeing that they are going to play the runaround game with Steam makes me less likely to buy any more. Especially with the shoddy craftsmanship of so many of the bazaar offerings. So yeah, an up to date refund policy needs to be published and it needs to include how customers can get back their actual money if they wish to as well, not just their crom coins. Because that is pretty shady.
O_o
No one is getting “the run around”, what we are doing is pointing out how the issue is being obfuscated by funcom.
There is no one to beat.
The point of this is we players would be far more tolerant of funcom’s funcoms, if they had better communication/customer service.
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy at those prices IF I had assurances what I was buying worked, looked like the add, had all the pieces, and functioned as expected.
I know you are a OLD man and
Maybe you dont know but there 2 places you can always look called youtube and twitch in both places everytime a new item show up in bazar streamers show how they are and how they work.
Now lets talk about refund , a refund in most online games wont will happen if the item get used most popular games doesnt give refunds from in game items and many others give a SMALL chance for refund in fortnite a big know game you win just 3 tickets for refund skins and if you use 1 he will just reflesh after 365 days from the last used.
In most survivals and sandbox games refunds wont happen and when happen is because one wrong purchase or when the item isnt used , you play 7 days for die right? Theres no refund if you buy and use a skin
Same about rust and ark theres NO refunds.
Conan isnt Walmart Conan is a online game.
Anyone want to buy items from bazar can check youtube , twitch and look how the new items work.
Just how do you think I am aware of the issues with bazaar content having never bought anything form it?
Before now I never was motivated to get a refund for an in game purchases. Got quite a few refunds from steam for games. Wish I could have gotten a full refund for God of war.
Thing is it’s not really a refund. it’s croms, funcom already has my money for those croms. So basically they aren’t losing money.
So I’m going to speculate why in the absence of any explanation.
1: Going to be too costly in man hour to do crom refunds.
2: funcom can’t remove content from your account once bought.
3: funcom is terrified of content getting a bad reputation because of the number of returns. @funcom, too late.
I can’t think of any other reasons.
Your snide condescension aside, you’re missing pretty much all the points in this thread. It’s not about getting informed beforehand. It’s about transparency, quality, communication, and level of service.
I would offer to explain, but since you opted for being a jerk, you can go read the posts more carefully yourself.
Let me ask you something: why do you think Walmart has a refund policy? Let’s cast an even wider net: why do most physical stores have some kind of return and refund policy, and why do those that don’t have it inform their customers that there are no returns or refunds?
Do you think it’s out of the goodness of their hearts? Do you think it’s because they’re all conscientious citizens with altruistic mindset?
Or is it because the consumers fought for their rights?
Here, look up the concept of the “Lemon Law” and then ponder on what life would be like if anyone could just hand you a defective product and refuse to give you back your money when you found out.
Buying anything digital ain’t new right but it is still very much in its infancy regarding consumer protection rights as I think you’re alluding to.
I feel like Funcom could have had an opportunity to set a better precedent from the beginning and instead chose to go by what the industry has dictated. Too bad really; again going back to what I said, customers remember the bad.
It’s not too late though. They can still do better.
i totally agree with @CodeMage s answer to you, but opening a reply with an ageist remark, disqualifies any possible valid point you might have had (but really didn’t)
Isnt easy make a refund from in game items already give examples from others games
Think about a guy buying a armor set he log in one friend server and make 20 armors after he log in another friend server and make another 30 armors when he back to he server and check the armor set and he want a refund how funcom will do the refund and get the items back? It get worst if we talk about build pieces.
Yes steam refund GAMES more we are talking about bazar items (in games items) what is a little more dificult and like i talked most games wont refund in games items if it get used.
Like you stated you know how the items can be broken and dont work like you wanted
so what we have to ask isnt a refund we need to ask one best quality when they making items and best information about items.
An item not selling tells funcom nothing. A few hundred refund requests for a new item screams at them.
No refund tells consumers the content producer has no confidence in the quality of the item. Buyer beware. What this tells me is that content is going to be crap.
But this thread is about more then just refunds, it’s the entire funcom customer experience is just bad. One of those, if I was asked to rate them, I’d wish I could give 0 stars for customer service.
I didnt see you talking it to he when he was rude with most people in it forum and when he talked many sht to me or when he talked about me age or other people age
Just a example from other thread
Apparently you two make a great couple ![]()
Because it very easy to refund in real life because when you get one item back it wont affect other people.
Most online games dont have a refund and when have the item can just be refunded if it isnt used check fortnite rust ark 7 days and many others about the refund policy.
