Limit of foundations per player

So this would be another limit on solo players with no clans. That would make the game unbalanced even more then it already is.

On PVP servers you can destroy such foundations, on private dedicated servers the admins can get rid of them, on PvE officials you have the decay system for this. Aren’t these not enough possibilities?
The only addition, which could be fun, would be a conquest system of building structures. Of course such a system must be well thought out but it could be a booster for PvP, PvE conflict and RP Servers.

Only as an option for PVE-server without game master. On PVP you can destroy such buildings if you don’t like them, and it just doesn’t make sense in SP.

In general, a big no to this. The free nature of the building system is (IMO) half the selling point of this game, the other half being the setting. The combat, while above par, is not groundbreaking. Neither are the graphics - they’re beautiful, mind, but not a selling point in and of themselves. The AI is lacklustre (let’s be honest).

Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying it’s a bad game. It’s a great one, and one that manages to be greater than the sum of its parts. But it should know its strengths - and the building system is near or at the top of that list. Limiting it is a terrible idea.

They need to remove the claim mechanic from building blocks and move it to, for example, banners and flags.

For those who have played rust immagine having banners or flags act like the tool cupboard. So abandoned buildings could be taken over by people who actually play and there would be more gameplay for hardcore pvp and pve-c players, a-la capture the flag so to speak.

It has been told to “them” since early access.

I have some photos of an official server that I wanted to show but I can not do it here but what it is does not work.

I actually was thinking a similar thing.

I showed my brother the game yesterday and we both thought that maybe foundations should not have any claim to them. Only walls and other building pieces should.

This means unless connected (a radius for claim should negate the claim on foundation lines unless walls are added etc) most structures would have no claim so could be destroyed or built on by others

It would mean the abusers only need to add walls here and there to get around it, but it would be at least a starting point to fix the issue and some abusers may be put off.

Sometimes you have to start small to fix large complex issues like these.
