I was fine in full health not taking any damage full food and water and logged out inside my structure. When I logged back on I was dead and all of my items were decayed. What the crap. I lost several legendary items and a full suit of epic armor.
Steps on how to reproduce issue:
1.Log out
2.Log back in
3.Dead
4.Decayed Items.
Where is your base and what material did you use? When you are offline, your toon does not receive any temperature buffs from armor or attributes. It’s very possible to freeze or burn to death while “sleeping”.
If your structure does not fit the area’s climate, ie. Frontier building materials in the desert, make sure to add windows. The cross ventilation negates the adverse effects. Also, if your structure fits, make sure there are not furnaces or fireplaces that are giving off excess heat.
Also, it’s a good rule of thumb to put all of your gear in a chest before logging off. That way if you die, nothing is lost.
