Looking for "Multiple Save Files" type mod

Hi all,

I’m looking for a mod that will easily allow me to have multiple save files (ideally limited only by disk space) so that I can run full games with different characters,

Right now my Exile Lands one-and-only game slot is taken up with my YouTube game, which means I cannot play a game just for me. I emailed the devs a while back about this and got a very terse (bordering on impolite) instruction to “ask the community in the forums if you want to have multiple saves”.

Hey Funcom - look around you … just as an example, even Elder Scrolls Online lets you have multiple character saves simultaneously, and Elder Scrolls Skyrim lets you have unlimited game files simultaneously.

The inability to have multiple game saves on disk at the same time in soloplay is a real game killer - please remedy it.

In the meantime, if anyone knows of a mod that lets you do it without having to manually copy folders and files in and out of your game install (to change saved game), please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

I can’t advise about mods as I’m on console, but I would absolutely love if FC would implement the ability to have multiple single player games on the same account

What you’re looking for is Mikey’s toolbox

It’s a bit old, but it is the only tool I know of that does what you are looking for.
I don’t know if it still works.

Alternatively you could try the zip file method, every time you want to change saves add all the game.db files to a zip named for the character, then unzip the save with the character you want to switch.

I use this method and I used to test mods, and I still have my original save game from 2017.
7zip is a free archiver if you need one.

This method is very tedious but offers really good results in that you end up with lots back up saves.

Don’t even need to zip the files up. Just rename the saved folder. Takes mere seconds to rename a folder to the save file you intend to play on.

True, I use this method also.
But I still use zip files too, belt and suspenders

In case you’re not sure where to find the files - default (at least on my system) location is c/program files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Conan Exiles/ConanSandbox/Saved
I just copy the latest game.db (or DLC_Siptah) file from that folder to another folder, and am able to manually swap saves in and out as required.
If you use mods, the new launcher also makes changing the modlist more convenient as you can do it direct from the launcher, rather than having to load into the game and then reload after changing the list.

(Although, as droch-aon suggests, Mikey’s toolbox is also a great option if it’s still working.)

Hope some of this thread helps
