I have been running the ridge and other known areas for the past 5 hours. There has only been 1 Meteor Shower. Is anyone else having this issue? How often is Star Metal supposed to fall from the heavens? Thanks in advance!

It does this calculation
Every 30 minutes it checks how many meteorites are in game. If 5 or less, then it will have a 75% chance of a new shower of 5 meteors. The reason it does the 5 or less check, is because there cannot be more than 10 meteorites in game. Meaning if 6 or more are still in game, it can’t spawn a shower, which is always 5. That would pass the max threshold of 10.
And if you are on SP/CoOp, then there are some known bugs where you have to be in rendering of the shower, or it never runs the RNG.
I harvested 8 nodes in the first 45 min. The next 4+ hours…Not a single one. I was building a fortress while I waited so not all was lost… 
Never did get a second shower though.
