In case you’re unaware I made this mod a couple of years ago, adds a minimap to the game, I’ll link to the original presentation thread that got locked due to inactivity so I can’t post there.
In any case, the reason I’m posting is because the mod got a major update.
The biggest drawback the mod had up to now is that it couldn’t display custom player-made map markers, because they’re simply inaccessible for mods.
Which brings us to now.. so I just jumped the gun and implemented a fully custom map marker system into the mod itself and markers made with this can ofc now be displayed on the minimap.
But ofc this is useful system for having regular map markers too as it has no limit and you can even choose to save your markers on your pc so they are available across multiple servers.
It also has API access for other mods to add map markers or icon variations.
I did another update yesterday to add a tutorial screen for when players open the map for the first time with the new version of the mod. (can also be accessed again by pressing that questionmark button you see in the video)
