Is your base in the Frozen North? If so, it might have gotten hit by a meteor.
If not that, maybe you broke official server rules, got reported, and then got hit by an admin. If that’s the case, you’ll find out in 24 hours or so, when the suspension kicks in and you can’t log onto any official server.
Despawn would affect all of the base, not partial. There was a bug way back in 2019 that had some foundations place making walls 0 stability. You could still build and everything like that but it would say 0. During server refresh the 0 was read and promptly removed due to lack of stability along with everything that was dependent on that connection. I see few people complain here and there but nothing like it was before. This could be one of those instances.
On official you cannot get stuff reinstalled unfortunately - on private too in moist cases as a reinstall is for all players on server, not just one.
With reference to the response above from @erjoh , did you build any of that part of the base (foundations, etc) yesterday too? If new and unstable it would despawn on you logging back in and all it can take is one strategically needed piece to lose integrity and everything needing it or them for stability also fail.
I have had it happen to me, but then it was a while back and I was building slightly closer to a NPC township than I possibly should have and also lost a lot of the base and floors and materials above.
I must admit I would wait for confirmation as to what happened before uninstalling a game as that can be a huge complication, negating all your progress to date, etc., but we all do what we feel we need to do I guess.
Should you reinstall start a small start-base, build up there in a safer area. When you decide to head into more interesting areas, place the foundations, log off and give it a bit and go back in and see if there are issues? You may need to wait for the next day - I dunno. Good luck!
I had upgraded the building yesterday from T1 to T2 so maybe you are on to something. I am not too close to an NPC settlement. I will probably get over it and be back on soon, I have a love hate marriage with Conan at times, cannot let go lol
Well, the love/hate is a good thing for Conan Exiles - and one that can be channeled into the next acquisition of thralls, pets, or the rampant and active visitation on an unsuspecting neighbour. All fun and games in love and war as they say. - and hello to London
Maybe was it what happed, it is showing up for me very often specially if you are using the perk of construction stability. Another cause could be if you placed some pillar in the corner of any foundation or ceiling, or a hanging pillar, they dont last long, or a foundation or fence foundation disconnected from the main building they will decay in one hour aprox.
When i build, i double check the stabilitty and timer with the repair hammer to ensure that the thing will stay solid. When im not sure i dont place anything over it till the next day to ensure the structure will survive the restart.
Also every day when you log i recommend checking the event log for building even if theres is no change in anything, i experienced bugs where some placeables and building pieces randomly entered in decay state and disappeared.
Be aware of the update that is incoming they say “fixed various building exploits”, it can affect placed structures even if they are not an exploit. I already got half of the base destroyed after an update by changes building system.
Two or maybe three years ago I had something similar to this on an official ps pvec.
I lost half of my base too and the event log was spammed with the bags that decayed. I don’t know if I had lost stability messages at this time.
But it makes no sense because I lost benches but not the floor under them. Also I am not sure if I lost some building pieces but all the doors at the site where the benches where gone are gone too.
if a bench was over a carpet or overlaping with another placeable and this placeable bugs out it will drag the bench together. On the release of chaper 2 i lost a torture´s work bench full of thralls. it was sligtlly overlaped with the infamous cobblestone path (this one bugs a lot) and vanished with it
