My very last post about MB

Hmmm i have just seen a Weyland Team streamlined in one place as usual.

It wont last I am sure. Maybe if funcom realised how many people have left due to mb, how many people would come back if it were gone, they could compare this to current MB and make a decision from there.
Obviously this is impractical and getting these figures would not be 100% accurate, but I agree that way more people have quit (including myself) than the amount of people MBing in pvp. If they had listened 5 years ago instead of now, the numbers would be better also. Maybe they feel its “too late”. I disagree though.

Don’t even need to do an analysis because unless 2+ people come back for every multiboxer they ban/chase away it won’t be profitable. AND most multiboxers have 4-5+++ accounts not just 2 and there is no way 4-5x paid players would magically come back just because multiboxing is banned. Thats just kind of obvious.

funcom employees have told in discord that policy on multiboxing will not be changed

Always nice on an enforcer with 60k+ hp and reflects/super AAD to get (basically) one shot by NT’s in 2-3 seconds. Agents/Soldiers could be pains too.

Watching 6 leets drop 90% of your HP before ducking into a backyard only to do it again 5- 10 mins later = stupid.

Then they removed /follow and killed all my hope for the game.

As I understand it this is against the rules.

For MBing in general it is an age old argument against it, but there are numerous quotes from GMs that it is not against the rules. One in particular that I remember clearly stated (not verbatim but general idea) that anything automated (I believe the exact phrasing used was "unattended gameplay) is considered a bot. But if every action is due to a human keypress, regardless of how many clients it is sent to, this is not unattended gameplay and is therefor allowed.

With that said I fail to really see how any of this (outside of pvp) affects anyone else. Why because you don’t get to play with them? How about just leave people alone to do their own thing as long as it isn’t directly affecting you. You know like…how the world works.

I can certainly see the unfairness in pvp and personally don’t think people should use MBing in pvp (but my or anyone else’s personal opinion is irrelevant to the actual rules). However i don’t see who it affects if someone wants to lazily level their characters like that instead of the repetitive button mashing of inf missions. Just seems petty.

I disagree. There only only a select few mbers ruining the game for us. I think a lot would stay, maybe drop a few accounts but still stay.
I also think you would easily get more than 4/5 returners per mb come back. But that’s just my opinion.

Your argument is flawed in several ways.

  1. You have no clue how many would reactivate if MB was definitively fixed. And as stated many times, it’s only a handful of ppl who ruin pvp for everyone else. One person who is ever present can easily ruin the fun for hundreds others. Especially when its evident that FC looks the other way or is incapable of dealing with that sort of cheating.

  2. Many non mbers also have multiple accounts. In fact, most ppl I know have two or three.

All in all there are only a few mb’ers who ruin tara and other pvp experiences for pretty much everyone in the same way as the old OMNI SB+ lethal OS ruined towers for several years. Fix it so that the big masse can enjoy the game they paid for.

Also. This kind of cheating is clearly againt the EULA, so why are we even debating this?

MB ruins the game. There should be a MB only server and see how those MB like that. Exactly. We don’t want them so they can either have their own server or just stop doing it.
