I played enough hours beeing fully corrupted and used black heart hammer alot. 2handed hammer shines because of the lmb dmg/range+ low stam usage. Nowhere did i say 2handed hammer is bad? its actually a pretty good weapon, but not because of the rmb attacks…
Where did i cry for a nerf?
Your hints are bad, go to dogs of desert and try to hit people with heavy hammer. they will simply poke you to narnia and dodge every single heavy while continue to poke you with spear until you cry lol…
What one-shots 0 Vitality and 20 Vitality are vastly different.
And how one handles that has its own unique pros and cons. Though personally I would avoid anything that gives lower vitality builds an advantage in survival, endurance, and sustainability.
Well in this current stage we actually have many tools to avoid oneshots, but it also kinda forces people into specific builds, there is not much room for variation
About hammers…they used to be all the rage back when siptah was just out…I started thinking about this and came to the conclusion that hammers lost the edge due to 3.0…the hammers are slow and full combos are very very rare to pull off and that is what strength perks give you…making combos meaner. So I can understand that it fell by the waist side because of 3.0…but that got me thinking as well about how we keep pointing out how much time we played and blah blah blah…well guess what? We all have just over 3 months of experience in 3.0 that drastically changed everything so the thousands and thousands of hours of play means squat…(besides it’s a logical fallacy called Appeal to Authority and therefore should be avoided. If you are such a veteran then you should be able to clearly express the errors in the logic of your opponent and not just try to discount them because they only have 200 hours or what not…always attack the argument, never the arguer)
Take that back!!!
I’m not annoyed or anything lol… but you can’t just cherry-pick… you do know that I went to quite the lengths to investigate this and it was initially brought up by you
I presented factual findings and now all of a sudden all of you cherry-pick and brand it a “bug” because it doesn’t fit your agenda.
Again, not bothered or anything, but fair is fair Be nice!!! Stop spreading FCs “explanation”
(PS: in other news, for those of you to whom it’s relevant… I happened to have saved a copy before they killed it )
It had as much of a chance of being a bug as this smartphone I have in my hand of being the result of a freak accident, @Xevyr . You did a fine investigation and your conclusions were indisputable.
The katana was designed like that on purpose. And it was damn well designed. Now it feels cheap, gimmicky. Agility builds need more variety of weapons.
But for people who only use spears or daggers, this is naturally irrelevant. The thing about the katana, HARD TO USE PROPERLY, special effect is that you had a very powerful way of countering the range of poles, pikes and spears. THAT was the “bug”. Get it? So it had to go.
You may wonder how I know this being a pve player. Well, because I used to melt the tortured king with a katana, easily. All other weapons, without exception, were less effective, especially if you weren’t in heavy armor. Poison and bleed don’t work on him. Now, this boss will require a lot of hits to go down. The katana doesn’t pay. A player used to go down really fast (small hp pool), so I understand their concern. And this was the reason for all the crying.
Oh, I said this quite frequently during the dispute period
That the people wanting to remove it are mainly spear users because it’s the only counter to the spear’s range. People keep talking here about the high skill-cap of the spear… but BS… if you use it “right” and actually attack… and watch your stamina… nothing can get even remotely close to do any damage since the thing hits from a mile away and staggers… Other spear users I guess and that’s where the skill comes in play… exchanging blows with other spears
In any case I do agree that when min-maxed for that purpose, the damage was too high, I’ve said it a few times that they could take away even up to half the damage or the number of hits or make it a single hit but a big one so the grit perk protects against it etc. What they did thou is ridiculous and I think even the ones asking for it agree on that…
Battles on mounts were never “unfair” because there was nothing stopping you from getting on a horse either. You don’t need a T4 worker, an eldarium, or a rare recipe. Mounts were available to everyone. Besides hit an experienced player lansa not so easy. And in many locations they could not be used at all due to the large number of obstacles. That’s when some clans have made a supply of eldarium on classic servers, while others can not get it now because the transfer is disabled - this is unfair.
You are forgetting the console players who got screwed over this. I’m one of them.
Each time I will be efing up the tortured king with a mace and a shield, I’ll be thinking foundly of the pvp crowd. If you only knew how that mtf irks me with his spear… how I would love to shove that spear of his up his ass!
Oh, it’s not a problem. It’s simply irritating. The katana used to bring him down fast without the annoying poking.
And yeah, the mtf still spawns above the ceiling on SP. It was a nice idea fighting him there, btw.
It is irritating that he is a HP sponge. Nothing else.
That’s why he is COMPLETLY ignored on PvP servers. The bandages are not used anymore. There was a time when bandages were the only means to remove bleed (before healing animations). The boss was farmed on PvP servers, because of the droprate.
The poking is worse, @SirDaveWolf . Dude, it’s a personal grievance of mine. I hate being poked and staggered, viscerally! The poking and the lag. Because you’re hit way after dodging the spear. And yeah, hp sponges suck, but that is common in bosses.
I did. You got poked a lot. Nice fight though, @SirDaveWolf .
Let me put it this way. Usually I’m not hit more than once or twice by a boss. When I get more than that, I start feeling annoyed.
Sure. I’m not disputing that. Pve is easy. So, you raise the bar. You go naked, you try not to get hit, you don’t take healing items, etc. Yeah we also know how to have fun.
And you would be right. Back to topic.
