New Biome In the top Right corner of the Map?

Why not instead of making cosmetic patches why not release a couple at once?
-Change the top right corner into something, tired of seeing It blank.
-Add new NPCs, Monsters, etc…
-New Armor?
-New resource an Items? Maybe new building material?

As I understand it, the top right area is hidden for a reason. It’s concealing dungeons or something. It cannot be accessed.

The DLC stuff does release new armors.

They also have a big update incoming that looks to be adding some underwater ruins or the like.

Top right is reserved space for current and future dungeons. Dungeons are not instanced and have to be physically located on the map somewhere. Map size is nearly at the max size that UE4 can support. This has been discussed to death across thousands of threads, so not going into it further.

They have been adding new NPC’s and monsters already, and continue to do so.

They have been adding new armor, and continue to do so (DLC and free)

They probably won’t add new resources to the map itself, but they have been adding new resources as time goes on that can be dropped or made, and continue to do so.

Yeah, that’s the Skelos dungeon. Just floating above the desert, not hidden at all. You can walk right up to it if you ghost-mode through the deathwall and go into the desert in the northeast.

For technical reasons the chances of expanding the overall map are negligible. I think if players were to accept degrading the quality of the Conan Exiles to the rubbish many similar games offer, then it could be done, but…no. :slight_smile:
As everyone’s already said, the outer edges of the map (and underneath where possible) are reserved for dungeons and simulated regions like the upcoming underwater zone.

For interest, it should be noted that there are many areas on the current map earmarked for added development. If you regularly look about the whole map you will have already spotted new adjustments here and there, but you have to go looking (including underwater…)…

This is the spot of the new Sunken City:


You will appear in the redmarked zone west of Sepermeru when you leave this dungeon in god mode. The dungeon itself is lying in a new Hitbox outside the visible map in the west. It’s nearly the same with the midnight grove. This dungeon is lying in it’s own Hitbox outside the map west from the mounds of the dead.
The new mini dungeon is lying under the map at the position of the silver mine.
So till now none of the dungeons are lying in the huge area in the north east right above the jungle and next to the northern Biome. But maybe in future.

These are the spots of the other dungeons. Leastwise the Black Keep and the vulcano Dungeon have their own Hitbox, which guarantees that the gamephysics are working properly there even if they are far outside the map.


This is the position of the Wirch Queen palace. It’s lying beneath the map so you can’t see it when you are walking above in the desert. You even can build there using a mod, which allows you to build everywhere. Gamephysics are working properly in this region.

This ist the Position of the Black Keep. It’s lying beneath the map. You can build there using a mod above in the mountains. Gamephysics don’t work properly there, hostile NPCs won’t attack you.

This is the position of the Dregs Dungeon. It’s lying beneath the map and you can build above with a mod. Gamephysics are working properly in this region.

This is the position of the Vulcano dungeon. It’s really extremely far in the northeast. Outside it’s Hitbox gamephysics aren’t working properly. The dungeon is visible from the southeast, it’s above the map. It’s looking like a smaller vulcano.

Tests were made with an AMD PC 1700x, 32 GB RAM and Nvidia GeForce 1080 8GB

in our old rp serv we used the blank region for building dungeon, questhub & other stuff like that, there is a buildable aera out there pretty large (noMod)

I think they might test out things there before placing the finish product somewhere else
