Yep. Just got done with it - they wanted favourite TV shows, gaming accessories, music genres and a bunch of ‘random’ (marketing data…) stuff. But only one slot for favourite Conan Exiles mod…
Overall, I’d say this survey was a little better than the previous one, but still a lot of ‘irrelevance’ (marketing data…) and several questions pretty much forcing an innacurate answer with no option to clarify…
those questions were most likely introduced by tencent, which is more likely providing the resources and funds to analize the data,
there is ZERO relevance as to what is your favorite snack, unless it is for something greater than we are not seeing.
i did Respond to each one of them “irrelevant” i will asnwer any questions regarding conan exiles, but NO way i will give information about things that has nothing to do with the game, pretty confident there is NO good intention in knowing things unrelated to conan exiles.
Might be leftover default entries. But I’d suspect that these are either for (unlikely) cross-promotions or control questions - if somebody left the country of origin as Afghanistan, but put in pulled pork as favorite snack. Or market research for a third party.
So you have a degree in marketing? You’ve read all the provided data?
Or have you convinced your self you know more then people with degrees in marketing, because no one could know more about the subject then you, right?
marketing research.
player demographics?
My favorite snack depends on season, time of day, and what I have been up to.
Summer, midday, mowing, potato chips.
Unless… the dlc sales weren’t even close. The size of the playerbase is roughly the same. Its not different by even a factor of 2. Some dlc aren’t even popular; so it’s a big impact on the revenue stream because of the lumpiness of sales.
If there was any doubt whatsoever and it was just guesswork noise, all the cries would be simply enough. The prices are not slightly different, they are massively different. I can guarantee you that since we are coming up on almost 2 years of the battlepass/bazaar, the real data would be night and day.
I mean… come on. Tencent is the parent company so all of Funcom’s resources are “provided” by them. That’s an agnostic statement in and of itself because all the revenue goes back to Tencent’s bottom line to be divided into budgets among its various business units/divisions based on sales revenue generated. That’s just how companies made up of acquired companies work. The marketing departments for the various divisions (I’ll drop the BU distinction simply because I know most don’t know the technical difference and it doesnt matter for purposes of discussion), are close to the product and are not generalists. The market for a given product varies and has more focused marketing strategies as a result. They use various methods of studying the customer desires and its their job to strategize and work closely with project leads to make sure a product is properly targeted. Its not really all that complicated but Tencent is not going to be micromanaging all of its holdings; it bought them for their potential and delegates resources in terms of money for divisions to hire to support their revenue demands. This is just generally how large corporations function.
Well not always, just found out that no other topic but Conan Exiles only can be talked about on these forums. I for one didn’t know that it was so strict, I seen other threads that were not related to the game at all.
Keep changing our game. Making unnecessary changes.
I believe most of us stopped playing. Not because of bazzar or battle pass. But because game change how it plays with almost every update and almost all updates comes with something game breaking.
What survey they really need? All the feedback is already here on their forum.
Threads will be closed without justification simply because of flags. There are certain individuals that attempt to derail as much as possible because they do not like the discussion. So derailing will also cause it to be closed. It is calculated and intentional gaming of the systems in place
I’m amazed that’s shocking. It’s totally obvious. A brief list of things that shut down a thread:
Not about CE at all if serious
Threads no longer generating on topic discussion.
Threads focused on the personalities and not meaningful dialogue
Spam or otherwise repetitive posts
Threads about specific Funcom ban actions
and a whole host of others… main thing is, any thread not on the topic of CE had better be something light hearted and humorous and in creative corner, or its gonna go away
