You forgot decying other players abandoned bases
All except pvp. Leaving anything out of 9 to 10 options wouldnāt be my answer. So i cannot choose 5.
All except gathering resources. I do it because I have to.
The rest just deppends on the mood.
That is what is truly exceptional about this game, the amount of different things you can do.
The most exciting is definitely pvp⦠or doing a crazy challenge like those @stelagel comes up with.
I cannot stress how important climbing is to me. Especially with the dive function.
Where is liberating prisoners?
This one doesnāt keep them, this one just enjoys breaking chains and slaughtering slavers.
Also, and More importantly, where is Griefing?
This one loves a good griefing.
Itās the only reason to play PvP for this one⦠Find a piece of shambling excrement and then make their life as miserable as they made others, remind them that they are pathetic and they are in a toilette, which is their natural environ.
Without the special element of knowing that the other player, not their character, but the human, is suffering, it really doesnāt work for this one.
Another divergence is that this sort of PvP can also happen on PvE servers.
Which makes Griefing distinct from PvP as intended.
I choose āadventuring and PvEā and ābuildingā.
My favourites are:
- climbing naked
and - riding down darfaris!
You forgot 1. Crush your enemies 2. See them driven before you. 3. Hear the lamentations of their women.
Ah yes⦠climbing nekkid is quite possibly the guiltiest pleasure of this game.
Until you slide down that rocky cliff face. Chafing
This 100%.
Under āAdventuringā! Thatās pretty much a heroic Conan style adventure.
Dammit, you two.
Today I have to grief and crush my enemies, see them driven before me and listen to the lamentation of der women twice as hard to make up for yesterday.
I looked at the results and remembered that when I started playing, I liked building most of all. But now Iām completely indifferent to this, I donāt have a base now, only a temple building for purge. All workshops and warehouses are located in the open air.
This is interestingā¦
No purge, no need @Teng .
We had a reason. Now, even on pvp BVing is the reasonable option for solos and small clans as base defence is gone.
PVE-C might be the only mode where building makes sense.
Yes, but only partly.
For purge, it is enough to build a box of one or two floors.
I liked the construction process itself. I remember, two months after the start of the game, I built a grandiose tall (~30 floors) tower on a mountain ledge. Stairs and fortified platforms led to it. Below there was a pompous hall with a colonnade 4 floors high. Above there was an arena with stands, also 4 floors high. Above there was a two-tier prison, above there were halls for feasts and entertainment, training rooms, living rooms for dozens of soldiers, kitchens, and special rooms for commanders. The tower was equipped with numerous internal elevators, stairs and passages, and observation platforms. The workshops were in separate outbuildings. And there were thralls everywhere. The entire structure was crowned by the temple of Set with a ritual of protection, a huge pillar of light and a black whirlwind in the sky was visible from anywhere on the map. I never built anything like this later; each time the buildings were smaller and more modest.
Well, farming mats for all of that takes a toll on the player⦠might that be it? Or you simply burned out after that and need a well deserved rest from building. That structure sounds awesome, @Teng .
We need more adventures and PvE content. Perhaps something like roaming āwar partiesā and random world boss encounters. I mean, its nice that there are occasional events in set locations and dungeons to explore in set locations, but alone, they are too static. There needs to be more dynamic, unpredictable encounters (whether to engage, be entertained, or avoid).
For example, imagine youāve just created a new character and spawned into the desert of the Exiled Lands. Youāve done the basic tutorial desert steps and you are approaching the ānoobā southern river. In the distance, you suddenly hear the sounds of combat. As you get closer, you can see two Exiles being engaged by a Darfari war party of eight that is not trying to kill them, but take them captive (perhaps for feasting later). What do you do (engage one group, rescue the Exiles, watch with popcorn, kill them all, avoid the situation - stealth away before you get seen, etc)? These kinds of random events open all kinds of gameplay possibilities.
Decoys.
Build decoy bases.
They are bait.
Did this one tell you about the t-shirt?
No matter, make certain to have something useless to you but that could be used, like a crafting station, in the base. Make a fish trophy or something every other week so it isnāt land claim spam.
Oh, and put that clucker in a hard to reach place that is annoying to attack.
Let them see you go to it.
Let them know that this is the horrific hole, the tiny home of hell that augurs only destruction and is the throne from whence you torment them.
Then sit back and watch them waste multiple raid windows worth of effort and countless explosives destroying a pile of fish trophies and notes with a single letter on them in valusian you made a month ago.
Edit: For bonus points the letters in Valusian must strategically arranged so that they spell out:
LOREM IPSUM DOLOR SIT AMETā¦
Or
Never going to give you upā¦
Agreed. That also reminds me I thought thralls patrolling between 2 points could be a thing in the near future, now that they have added those very convenient thrall placement slots.
At this point custom content on modded servers is all that keeps me logging in. Iāve worn all aspects of the base game completely out. All in all it seems it really is time for a new game or hobby.
Perhaps Iāll dust off my plan for world domination and flesh it out a bit more. āVe hof vays of making you geegle!ā
Why I am not surprised that Building is on the top By far most fun thing to do in CE.
Even though I am not much of PvPer but from my personal experience its just not fun and not because I get killed 1000 times , no its because it just feels off. Even looking at youtube PvPers, its just running and rolling, specially rolling until you get a hit and once you do get hit you roll roll roll roll into building and heal up. So yeah, I would like to PvP from time to time but as of right now PvP combat is just not that exciting.
