New location and dungeon

When we get a new location, it’s not interesting to run around the old ones, we’d still like new dungeons.

I doubt new location or dungeon will add anything substantial while environmnt is still, safe and predictable. It is game mechanics favoring dollhouses and theme parks construction and not growing Purge what make game boring.

There will be no new dungeons coming out on the current map, you need to wait for the new upcoming map @skayter

Unless someone at Funcom has recently said something to that effect, I’m not so sure of that. This is just my memory, but I could swear I remember someone at Funcom saying they had something like six new dungeons planned around the time they’d just put out the Warmaker’s Sanctuary.

You have to agree, without expanding the game card, the game simply dies.

I am concerned if there is going to be updates and new map. Long time and no news.

I know they always have. Day one console player. Server owner 2 years. It is the buy out that makes me wonder. I realize Covid 19 has made every one’s life a mess but a update message occasionally (as in biweekly) would be nice. And I am aware of vacations I have told many people about that. I am hoping for the best.

IMHO, adding anything more, that been dungeons, pets, thralls, anything, and that includes a new map with all the glorious shinny it could muster, to the game without seriously fixing the current issues will add nothing of value. If history always repeat itself here, they will must likely break the game even more.
I’m not against new content, don’t get me wrong, but just adding recklessly just because we want more? The game needs to be fix, that should be prioritized before anything else at this point.

The issue with adding new content is we have this weird vertical progression that invalidates the content below it.

For example, what’s the purpose of the Dregs for a level 60? The weapons are weak, and there’s a dozen different and better choices for food. And even if the materials from the Dregs were worth it for a 60, what is the point of it being so? The dungeon itself would be a mild inconvenience. Its not fun after the 5th, 6th, 7th, etc time doing it.

Same thing with the Witch Queen, Frozen Temple, and Volcano. At least Obsidian Bars are somewhat worth getting, but the trip is time consuming and not a real challenge for a well equipped 60. If you run into a player along the way on a PVP server then things get a little exciting, assuming they don’t just gentleman’s agreement the encounter and leave each other be. But lets keep PVP out of it since not every server is PVP.

And this goes for a few other dungeons. The one that doesn’t fall into this is Warmaker’s Sanctuary. The Arena Champion is quite interesting to fight. Unless you range her than she’s like fighting an imp in the noob river. And the boss after her, the dude in armor, I can’t remember the name. Is the same way, though you could just spam heals and melee spam him down. I think his damage needs to be doubled, and The Arena Champion needs to be immune to cripple or heavily mitigate it.

Also the final boss in Winecellar needs to be unnerfed. I don’t know why, but we’re able to down him before the adds can reach us. I thought he had 3 waves of adds, now only has 1.

All current dungeons need reevaluation. Make them all challenging for an epic armored 60, and make them all have a use for said geared 60. This includes non-60 dungeons. Seriously there’s a crap ton of content for the 1-59 already. People don’t stay sub-60 for long, but they do spend most of their time at 60. So lets trim up the sub 60 content and repurpose it for 60.

Even if its adding a door to existing dungeons that can only be opened at 60. That leads to newer and more dangerous areas.

Right now for challenging content you need the Age of Calamitous, Endgame Extended Weapon Arsenal, or Thrall Wars Dungeon (with admin placed boss areas), or tuning up the damage of NPCs. If you’re going vanilla with vanilla settings. Well then, if you can kill the Arena Champion with ease, you beat the game. Thag used to be challenging, but now you can just click him to death.

The priority to correct errors should always be, but not be delayed for years

While I would love a huge amount of bug fixing but how would they pay their workers if they didn’t add dlc content?
All that said several dlc have buggy content, fx the Derketo dlc still has a lot of stuff that doesn’t work properly even though it has been out for almost a year!

Yes I agree that the game needs a lot of bug fixing, but I don’t think it is possible to put their biggest source of income on hold and spend the majority of their time on bug fixing

And that’s exactly my point, can’t afford to fix what’s broken without adding more to afford the fixing… vicious circle that will never end. The game do have some serious issues, from logging problem, to coding errors, so in order to fix we have to add more that will break the game even more, so when do they stop to fix? Doesn’t make any sense.
