I dont get people doing RP or ■■■ RP in Conan at all…

But are RP really that much of players? Are there so many RP servers?
Getting a couple of big RP streamers into the game, from my observation over the course of development, almost guarantees a jump in population, but then you can say any big streamer would help the population… Yes maybe for a week or two, but the longevity in this game lies in the rp community who can play the game 1000 times and the stories keep it fresh so thet rarely get bored. Not to mention how much money rp’ers spend on the Dlcs. I dont even play RP myself and casually watches a few of the funny ones, but it’s very clear where this game has the most to earn imo.
You said we don’t need a limit on thralls, ok, then limit insane buildings in online. I’m not saying get rid of GOOD buildings that are large and look good, but get rid of unnecessary extra buildings that really have no purpose. Like random pillar bridges that have no reason, or random foundation spammed areas, or over use of PLACEABLES as they lag servers hard.
But who will have to decide what looks good - deciding about that is already bearing the seed of dispute in itself! Beauty is not any objective criterion!
Wait, what? Dude, it’s a shared server. You can’t just say “if you don’t like it, go somewhere else” and pretend to any moral high ground whatsoever. It’s exactly like taking a dump in the park and then telling everyone else they don’t really need to walk down that particular path where your turd is now on exhibition.
I certainly hope that’s not a wide-spread attitude, but it would certainly explain the hostility I encounter whenever I argue that I shouldn’t be punished with some arbitrary half-assed building cap just because I don’t build bases that fit into someone’s arbitrary half-assed idea of how big a base should be…
It should be a server-wide decision on what should be removed based off necessity. If a building is bad looking but necessary for someone to keep playing then don’t remove it, but if the community decides a player built something that lacks purpose and is just there to be there and doesn’t even look aesthetically pleasing then it should be removed.
