Well the announcement has been made… We all waiting for a Single player, RPG adventure with Conan… Funcom throws the RTS no one asked for… Hooray?
Personally I couldn’t care less. Funcom still dancing around the obvious Conan game that needs to be made

Funcom has 2 new Conan games coming out. One is a 3rd party game they are only the publisher. That would be this one. The other is a single player game in which you play as Conan. Little to no details about this one are out yet that I am aware of and that is the game Funcom is working on. However, a RTS set in Hyboria is a really good idea and I for on am exited for it.

Looks interesting. Probably won’t get it, just don’t have the time, but that’s not due to any particular fault of this new game.
this is not RTS game guys. Check you games like “They are billions”. This is like Survival / Tower defense / Town Building game. This is not “Age of Empires” or “Starcraft” type of game.
I actually work in video games, so yeah, I understand. Funcom, as partiall owner to all Robert E. Howards licences and publisher has the final say in which type of game get made and realeased. If you even understand what it means. If not (which is very likely), ignorance is always bliss and I trully envy you.
I will personaly wait out until the single player comes out. Conan is a very character driven licence. An RTS about it doesn’t really interest me. Maybe when it’s in like in 2 dollars in Steam I’ll get it, years after realease of course.

Yeah, that game is definitely not an RTS to me. An actual RTS Conan game could be interesting. But this Tower Defense game with a bit of RTS elements appears to be far from that. I bet we get a game with essentially no story or campaign. Just pure grind till you lose, then restart and do it all over again.
