New workstations VS Old Thrall system

Respect , you are i think second person on the internet that i met that admitted he was wrong about something:). Anyway its just a game (altough we are passionate about it :)), and anybody can be wrong…

In summary: with the new crafting system the armors are more expensive (you have to make pieces in the tanner’s bench that has no evolution so it costs you 5 oil and I don’t know how many more things to make a hardened leather, and then you need those 21 for each piece of armor), before for good armor you only needed a T4 armorer, now you need a T4 armorer and a T3 (at least now it no longer has to be a T4) alchemist, for the oil.

On the other hand, the construction is cheaper, any T3 blacksmith has the recipe that before only the T4 purge blacksmiths had.

Much better weapons can now be made if you have a damage specialist T4 blacksmith.

Otherwise I think everything is more or less the same.

It could be how I play (on a Xbox series X) --------- but making your own weapon is just not relevant to Exiles no weapon matches up to the Predatory Blade. (please correct me if I am wrong) The Predatory Blade with a Light attack and an advanced damage kit it does ~ 100 point damage. The other weapon I use is Yog’s Touch that axe is very good for crowd control.
The new system makes hunting thralls to get certain Armor recipes needless, before, I hunted Grrr Legbiter, Hanar of Bossonia, Zoara of the Marshes, Ghamm the Worn, Werk of the Lost Tribe, Fia, Llarn Steeltoe, not to mention a pruge armor for the redeemed aromors.

Seriously how does durability even matter, because farming the bosses in the unnamed city yields so many legendary weapon and armor repair kits, that I need multiple chests for each item.

How does temp bonus matter, farming the WarMaker Dungeon yields so many Targes of Ymir and the farming the scorpion queen yields so many shields the temp bonus from those items allow a player to function in the most extreme heat or cold with basic armor.

Thanks! What you have is my main goal, but on PS5 Official server we don’t have that option yet, I’m very excited that hopefully we’ll get all those options once the Siptah expansion is out, more control over the Purge will make a huge difference!

Thats imho the big problem of the whole game: there is plenty of great and mechanics, but if you dont need to use them, because of balance problems, its all a bit pointless. I hope Funcom will fix it at some point…

You actually make weapons, instead of using the legendary ones that spawn in the Unnamed city, it is hard to beat the ~100 points of damage with a light attack from the predatory blade.
