As mentioned in the title, what can we do?
I have unplaced thralls in a box as we keep breaking them on a wheel but keep a population buffer so we don’t hit cap.
If I place those now and they roll back the servers (which I doubt) I will lose more Dalinsias’!
If I wait for a roll back then anything done today is gone! TBH, I have no faith they will roll back the servers and if they do who knows what will break in the process!

that’s very weird i just checked and lost no thralls at all (4 official server checked) , even on a server where i had not connected for more than 3 weeks (europan pvp siptah official). so weird seem it has not hit everyone (thalls may be decaying only if a player come in proximity?). but i agree this is unnaceptable for those who lost their thralls.
what i do not understand is why funcom has not simply closed all official server time for their decision to roll back or not.
because we are now in a situation where those who lost their thralls will be angry (and with reason) until a server rollback happen.
but also those who have simply not saw the information of the pending decision of funcom (msg online on game no ? because they simply did not lost any thralls) and who have played a lot of the game this week end, i personnaly invested 14h of game in this week end in the war that oppose me to not normal player (you know with bug base), and i had to do a very boring thing moving loot elsewhere and scout to find their bug base.
so i must be an alien, but for me all officials server should have been put on stop until fc take the decision to roll back or not0, and with all respect, this is really no professional to be in this situation where we dont know, and all servers open and saying nothing…

On Tuesday, they roll back to unaffected DBs. All transgressions, aggressions, losses and lols are wiped away.

Agreed. My previous post is trying to be as hopeful as possible. But it hinges on a rollback. We need a rollback.
but the fact to have not closed the server,or not even think to do it, and not even think to send an ingame message, will make some people very unhappy too with the gameplay lost when they will rollback (and by the way i think tts more a technical decision, because i am not so sure that all offi servers have a daily database save working, and least i know for sure that one of the official server i play had no backup after exchange with fc during a major event that occured sometime ago)
and personnaly i will not be an happy bunny to have to move again my loot from my hideout to escape the toxics guys i have to deal with. but i understand the fact to find a solution to give back thralls lost must be find. and as the inital poster i am in a situation where i don’t know what to do in a tough pvp situation ihave to deal with. only think i know is that they play actually.
Just uninstall, see who panics come Monday.
Decay on Siptah server’s has been turned off for along time. Saved our thralls also

Personally other than logins on my servers, I don’t plan on doing anything until a decision has been made by funcom on what they plan to do. My Siptah servers are fine due to decay being turned off weeks ago. And although I lost over 200 plus on my EL servers I will login a few times a day just in case another mistake happens.
But my hopeless, hope is that we will get a roll back.

I rent a g-portal server to play Conan Exile and from experience I know that the servers individually have a backup option.
to make a backup you must therefore act on each server.
This is true for us individuals who individually rent a server from g-portal, I do not know how this happens for companies which rent a large quantity of server.
I know that server restarts can be automated so that poses no problem : but if server backup is identical for businesses and individuals then Funcom will have to each server individually .
The question is: Did Funcom take the trouble to make backups of all their server in good time? Or aren’t you doing it for lack of time or by parress ? .
In addition, backups are only kept by G-Portal 28 days so if there were no more recent save the ancients are automatically erased .
They remain more likely that its indeed its backups exist and that Funcom Ferras the right choice.
This is why rollbacks are a relatively stupid idea in most circumstances.
If the issue was caught the moment it happened. Then yes a rollback would work as most people would simply be even unaware one happened and at most only 10-15 minutes would have been lost. Affecting at most a few dozen players, and very minorly at that.
But a rollback after 4 days? That affects everyone. We have right now a limbo state. A limbo state that is happening because of all the cries for rollback and no one is actually sure if it will happen or not. This means any play a player takes this weekend (Labor Day Weekend, a long weekend for NA players). May simply be upended.
What are these players supposed to do who want to play on their favorite characters? The vocal portion of the forum tells them to go sit in a corner and jerk off for a few days. Why? So they can get their thralls back. Thralls they likely haven’t used in several years because most of them only login once a week to refresh the timers.
And this is going to be the case even if Funcom doesn’t rollback. This damage by the community to players who aren’t really affected by this (either because they don’t have thralls, don’t care about thralls, or have dozens of replacements ready to go). All because of selfish EGO. MY THRALLS. MY TIME. MY EFFORT. ITS ALL GREATER.
They think only of themselves. Not the players who just want to play normally over a chill weekend, especially after getting power back after a major storm. Or a new player just starting out will not get a small percentage of their total time played, but 100% of it. Sure… a few hours played is smaller to someone who’s got 50 leveled up thralls. But it is all of the time they spent playing the game. It would have been everything to them. All their gear, all their buildings, everything would have been wiped out.
But this is par for the course for some these players of these servers. They’ve been a cancer on the Conan Exiles community for years. Making these servers were the biggest mistake Funcom ever made.
Its not about selfish, a dalinsia take what amount of time to reach level 20 ? 5-6h of constant gameplay killing ?and so if 80 thrall level 20 = 80*6 = 480 hours of gameplay. and for pvp server thrall are the only defense we have to protect a base, so no thralls means you are very exposed and can lost all due to that.
personnaly i would prefer to have no roll back, because i was not affected and invested a lot of time this week end. but as i think to others i consider that a roll back is needed., and if you want to know my thought the problem is that this roll back decision took too many time, it should have occured as soon as they realized the problem (which would have mean 1 day lost), and they should have sent an ingame message too if professional (this probably occuring because it was a week end, and that they modified server parameter at end of week, and not beginning of week allowing a team to may be react better)
Without these players, players like me who have been here from day #1 of Early Access and stayed with the game I doubt CE would be where they are now with updates. I have all of the DLC’s on two accounts (from when we could jump to Siptah and back) and most of the Bazaar items. That is serious coin into FCs coffers and I’m not the only one to have done that in my 10 person clan.
So yeah, maybe I should go away as I’m apparently a cancer in your eyes. Maybe I will do that and save some money! Surely these new players who will leave the game in a few days or weeks will help fund future content!!

It looks awesome, hopefully it is the updated version and not the regular version like the blacksmith bench was that came out a few weeks ago!

yes i do… i can agree some of servers are total laggy mess
in that case they should have 2 official server types
1 like rust with wipe periods (like every 1-3 month)
2 no wipes (but with more decay rules and harder TOS)
Some people like me are cool about fresh starts, but some gonna end their game immediately, so probably devs never gonna do that =(
But if ever (probably never) devs decide to make their game great again and give it some rebirth and retribution (like No man sky did) - from mechanics, to map changes, visuals and code fixing.
It will be good reason to null every server and starts new with just better and improved game.
CE 2.0 people (or at least 1.5).
