There has surely already been a decision made about what to do post thrall snap, WHAT IS IT? All you are doing now is just wasting MORE time of your player base. You are either wasting the time of those that are going to have their weekend efforts wiped away with a rollback, or you are wasting the time of those that will need to regrind because you are too incompetent to pull off any form of finesse coding that can maintain the gains by those playing over the weekend AND restore the thralls, gear and levels that were lost. The survival of this game, and your future one, depends on what comes next. As of now I have zero appetite for Dune, unless I see something spectacular occur here. Now for the record I did lose stuff to the Nemedian stability bug, but it was all recoverable with the enhanced gathering event, but not everyone was so lucky, and I also have lost no thralls due to this error thankfully. But your recent history has shown you do not care about the one resource we all have a fixed supply of. TIME. Do your business or get off the pot Funcom, this continued silence is losing your players by the minute, and I suspect you will see that in the coming days and weeks as the daily login numbers begin to plummet.
the choice to restart the servers at a date prior to this big mistake is the only possible alternative. all players ( except those connected every day) have been impacted.any other decisions would be absurd. If I had to, I would go and get resources for those who played this weekend
Once again hearts and minds funcom. With a silence that says it all.
Based on their record I’m not very hopeful with their decision.
They said they were waiting until Monday when their full team has had a chance to look at the issue before they make any drastic choices. Obviously a roll back is the best option for people who lost their thralls. But that is not everyone.
My guess is they do a rollback on affected servers sometime next week. But that depends how many people were actually affected vs how many people will be affected by a rollback.
the decision has almost certainly been made, but it ain’t the one the community is happy with.
Why I know that? Well, just look how many roll-backs they did in the past.
On Monday their guy who writes the best apologies will be back at the office…that’s what they are waiting for.
