Now that the next DLC has been confirmed as Nemedians, are there any other cultures from Hyboria and beyond you hope we see?

I would love to see Aesir/Vanir get an update… Northern structure, armor, saddles, deco… All of it! Need new content for the north…

My main concern would be a dedicated Stygian DLC - as despite the fact that we’ve a ton of Stygian items in game already, we lack a bit in the architectural area for that style. I guess taking inspiration from the more “middle Kingdom” period would be more unique, and provide a better feel for the overall “desert civilization” theme.

Regarding new ones - I guess there are a few. Probably going towards Indian (Vendhya) and African ones could be a good call. The question would be - should the packs maybe get bigger?

I mean, some of the cultures might in itself not be as interesting to the wide audience, therefore limiting the sales - and being less attractive from a business point of allocating limited resources. Therefore, designing the packs to be more like “theme packs” might not be a bad idea.

For example, there might be a limited interest for some “pure savage/tent type” architecture & deco of the “Black kingdoms”, but if you’d pair it up with something like the historical land of Kush (modern day Sudan, for a time a power on a similar level to ancient Egypt) - with style appearing both to those preferring “civilized” bases, as well as more “barbarian / savage” ones.

Regarding the return to old DLCs - I do feel like this would be a good way of addressing some of the “shortcommings” in them - i.e., that the very first ones would lack for example vaulted ceilings (Turanian), or deco appropriate for the culture (Khitan & the total lack of proper-sized dragon statues). It could also offer the possibility, with those “refreshes”, to introduce the specific NPCs - either as some faction (if there would be upgrades to the classic map, in example), or just adding the races into existing ones (thinking mainly about the lack of Khitans & Yamatai that we could catch as thralls).

Not to let the topic die, and say that I’m all for Stygia, Vanir, Cimmerian DLCs, even if there are already a lot of those on the base game.

One thing I wish was part of the base game are the tilesets of the NPC settlements: the Sepermeru sandstone buildings, the Vanir wood huts, Darfari tents, wood structures like the ones on the Black Hand camps and The Den. There are mods for almost all of those, but they could make their way into the game officially.

And I want … a new map !!!
Barahan Islands, new pirates, more powerful … trading system … trade and exchange of thralls … and navigate between the islands in ships. :sunglasses:

That idea looks good, but I think the DLC we are talking about here are the smaller ones.
Hopefully there will be more bigger ones in the future too.

I will need to research the various cultures Conan has before I pick a preference. Otherwise at the moment, I am happy with anything new concept they are thinking of.

I would love to have a stucco-style desert people DLC. To be able to build like at Set City, plus vaulted ceilings to help us construct a souk or other market setup. So choice. How about another Tier 2, stucco and ship-timber wood?

It would also be great to have more tents, and tent-like structures. Can you imagine a placeable Yurt you could live inside of?

Sounds very in-tents

Wouldn’t mind more exploration of the lore around X’chotl. Especially why the undead there hate my horse so much.
