NPC of offline players do not die? (PVE)

There are so many players who do not play anymore,
their homes have decayed, but the NPC are still there
Would not it be better if they also crumbled like the houses?

That would relieve the server and free up building space for new players

If the players actually do not play any more, then they should disappear (eventually). Otherwise, the system is bugged (which is always possible).

However, what is just as (or more) likely is that the players in question have moved, and left their old thralls behind. If the players are still actively playing (in a new location) their old thralls will - afaik - never decay, even if their owners never visit them.

Yes that’s the problem

eating system in NPC and animals

it would be better if NPC were hungry
to keep NPC alive and the animals

That would bring more depth to the game
And you can not have 200 animals / NPC

It actually is bugged. From what I’ve noticed, it seems the presence of another player’s base is able to keep a departed player’s thralls alive.

Mind you, in other instances it’s because the “departed” player keeps logging in to keep the thralls refreshed and be a troll. Either way, the current system needs a fix prioritized, the number of orphans just hanging out around the world on PvE servers is becoming absurd. I feel like I have to spend more time playing clean-up (i.e. kiting world bosses) than actually adventuring at this point.

Hundreds of NPCs who have no owners (PVE)

Yep, and that’s not even an exaggeration, sadly.

Especially the official servers are a disaster
because the NPC does not disappear.
And no one comes around, no admin

The thrall decay time is 15 days for some weird reason.
On top of that it only requires the player to log in to refresh this timer, no matter where the thralls are in the world.
Then add how insanely cumbersome it is to move placed thralls from A to B and you are left with thralls and pets all over the place.

I also see rhinos or other large pets being placed in tight locations, blocking pathways and forcing you to travel around or climb over hoping you won’t get stuck inside the rhino. Which still is a thing…

It’s my biggest annoyance with this game, but I have made it a challenge to pull world bosses to these groups of zombies which can be a bit entertaining.

Yeah looks like I might be having to do the same this weekend (again). :weary:
