Option for other players to acces your placeables on PvE - Any supporters?

In full disclosure, we use a fully open setup on my server. We implemented it several months ago and have had very little issues. We have had the occasional theft but we monitor everything pretty tight so we even read the logs and find thefts that people haven’t noticed. Granted, we are very small in size so it’s not too much effort to watch things but it sure has made life a lot easier lol.

It gets a little funky trying to dial it in, especially when using mods that tweak different settings.

Believe me, I lost at least 100 taskmasters in pve servers from decay destruction from other players. The last 24 hours are red, that means anyone can dismantle and take the loot. If they could steal, they would do it, trust me. Officials are really cruel. I love to play the game with open doors, I like to exhibit weapons on racks and I really enjoy decorating. My working stations are always at least 3/4 full of materials. I played so much pvp, enough to hate it. Now I play only to relax and help others. But I like to give, I love it actually, even if it is my last piece of that, I don’t care, I will farm it back… Yet I hate to be stolen and I believe nobody likes it either :man_shrugging:. The decision the devs made was only to protect the ones who doesn’t know, nobody else. We play the game years now and everything seems easy, we should not forget our first days however, when everything was so difficult, so if by any chance, a new player decided to join an official server and start online at once, until he realize that putting a chest on a window someone might steal you, it will be too late, so for these players only, I really agree with devs.

nothing is lost everything is transformed
and I hate the mess
when I pass a degraded city, I recover
9.9 times out of 10 the player never connects
I’m still waiting for the guys to come claim their case
I like to help and give too, but to waste? and see cities disappear into nothingness? , no
and at least personally, I distribute, not like trolls

I only played PvP long enough to know that it wasn’t for me lol. We don’t allow theft on our server but most of my players are the same, they give things away or sell them or trade them for really cheap.
