Over abundance of leather and thick leather

Greetings,

I have been playing for years now. PVE, PVE-C and PVP servers. Something I have noticed at some point you stop collecting hide for leather and start getting it for tar. The leather then just piles up.

Could you create a way to turn Leather and Thick Leather either into a food item or fertilizer? Or something we can just burn our stock piles on?

Idk about you, but I mow through leather making epic armor for all my followers. Tar is what I have too much of, not leather. I keep converting it to hardened leather. Unless you’re not using any followers or have tons of hardened leather already, I think you’re going about it all wrong.

Same here. I’m constantly looking at a shortage of thick leather in particular.

As for the tar, I don’t mind having a surplus. Most of it gets converted to steelfire anyway.

I think it is a bell curve.

Early game, you don’t need tar, you are short on leather.

Level 60, you don’t need leather, you are short on tar.

Been around for a while, you don’t really need tar and are short on leather.

Where have you been man all these years? I ask for years now to have a market and sell whatever we have in stock piles, join the cause. Especially now that “money talks” in the game, a market to sell our junk is more than welcome.

Or obolus as well. If they can make that worthwhile, I wouldn’t mind. It’s useless right now.

Yeah… normally I’d agree, but after AoS, I have more tar than i know what to do with. I turned an entire crate into steelfire.

The result of getting so much steel from the traders I’m guessing? If that’s the case, you’ll have to keep in mind that it’s a problem unique to people who had that opportunity.

True… but run that Kurak dungeon a bit and you’ll get them with the head as well.

Edit: correction… they don’t give you the usual stuff like steel and iron. Just alchemical base and steelfire. They’re greatly nerfed. I think the blood crystal ones will though. Can’t remember for certain.

I play on the Siptah map (so no Kurak’s dungeon), and I just ran into the convenient spot where I’ve used up most of my tar (for steelfire) as well as leather/thick leather (for epic armors) when I built fortifications and mass produced armor for my thralls to defend against the Purge.

Before that, I used to have a massive surplus of tar, and lack of leathers. But that was because I could get all the steel I needed as loot, and now I get paintings and furniture.
