Patchnotes: Conan Exiles Enhanced - September Patch 2.2.0

We’ve seen some crashes that some of you are experiencing if you run Conan Exiles Enhanced with outdated drivers.
While until the UE5.8 upgrade, you could select ‘No’ on the updating drivers pop-up, well…now you will have to do just that, update your drivers.

As someone that hasn’t updated her personal laptop drivers since 2025, I guess is time I put my big girl pants on and update my drivers :sob:

If you are still experiencing crashing issues after updating your drivers, please feel free to send a bug report over on Helpshift so the team can investigate further.

It’s not a driver issue, it’s a code issue. It’s not a crash, it’s a server refusal to connect. It’s expecting a password on login, but never displays the password screen, because the servers do not have a password.

Will check with the team :woman_bowing:

The team has reproduced the issue and they are currently investigating further.

This issue seems to happen if you have a password set for your single player game.
A current workaround is to remove that password (in your single player). Also make sure you press enter to confirm the change before exiting the menu.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work on resolving this issue.

Removal of Solo/Co-op Password confirmed as a workaround.

@Dana I saw in the patch notes that the bathtub is now usable for players and thrall. However, nothing happens when I interact with it in game.

May be you know it, may be not.

Just installed the 2.2.0 update.

Again mods were broken bad. But not just one single or a couple this time.

I get an error for each single mod I installed from Steam Workshop: “Mod is too old and needs to be updated for this game version”.

Before you tell: I did verified installed files 2 times before running the game and getting the error lines.

Playing without mods means restart a brand new game. Waiting for the mods to be updated for whatever reason broke them is usually taking days if not weeks, especially in summer when people (and modders) go for some vacation or get some deserved rest from sitting on their desks squinting at their screens.

This means also a lot of us players will just wait… and wait… and wait till the mods would be fixed… days? … weeks? … months perhaps? Meaning we won’t check anything in the bazar, loose free items and care zero about anything coming up in the game till our playthrough is accessible again.

So please, can you-updating-folks just keep that in mind? Is really necessary to modify engine scripts that broke each mod each time an update comes out?

Most likely this is linked to the same server issue posted here up above? I don’t know: I just know I got an error line naming each and every single mod I have installed.

It was announced back in early August that this would be happening. Inflexion had tried to find a way around needing to force mod recooks, but it wasn’t viable.

Fine.

The point is: it’s not the first time and for sure it won’t be the last.

They just need another way. That’s my point.

Or the whole modding thing is just useless.

While I understand your frustration, it is important to note that Funcom is not responsible for mods.

Also, the modders have to be given some grace when game changes are made. Modders are providing a volunteer made, no cost product. It may take a minute for them to address game changes.

Best of luck.

In the meanwhile: bye bye CEE.

Does anyone knows if the new engine update will require avx2?

I understand you. I’m waiting for all the mods I have installed to update. If they don’t, I won’t play, because there’s no point.
I played without mods for a year and a half, and I’ve had my fill of it completely.

I have over 100 mods on my server. The chances all of them will survive this are almost zero. Some may never be updated. I’ll remove them. For now I’ll wait and play something else (or Official) for a while until the most awesomest people in the gaming world (CE modders) have had a chance to recook their mods.

Funcom gave plenty of notice this would happen on this particular update. And we all knew what that would mean. But they also explained why they thought this was necessary - and the gains in server performance were expected to outweigh the inconvenience of waiting for mods to be recooked.

No need for tears or rage or indignation. Just wait patiently. It’s really not hard.

I tried playing on a full official 40-player server, and the experience was much better with this update. It’s very encouraging.

@Dana Something has gone terribly wrong with lighting. Shadows in particular. Shadow stripping all over the map and indoors, the players hair is striped. I videoed one spot so you could see what I am talking about. I tried Ultra, High, Med… nothing changed this.
