Meh I’ll just be happy if they can finally implement a script that allows us to merge our characters ourselves really. Should not be impossible to do. I just dont feel I should need to resort to modifying a database to get my character back. official fix would be my preference. I mean cant they just have the client recognise our steam ID once more? then they would not have these issues.
Your workarond for the lost charaters is not working on privet servers. Are you even looking into problems with private servers or are you only fixing the problems on dedicated servers ?
you should say Private dedicated servers mr Laupin. the oficial servers work I think. But the local co-op and the dedicated server hosted by players seem not at all helped by the fix so far. It is annoying for sure…
I know we can fix it by altering the database but thats not how it should be. Maybe they could just open a prompt really… problem is that the new logon asigned new ID’s to our characters I think and when you log on to your server you get a whole new ID that does not match the ID of your old body so to speak. On steam it used to be linked to our steam profile. The new system does not take this into account anymore.

Also, advanced tier thralls loose their abilities to craft DLC weapons and armors over time.

We created new characters and i swaped the user Id in the table “accounts”.
If you don’t know how is how (because there are only ids), you can look into the table “characters”.
I use the DB Browser from SQLite for that
Yeah I tested it just now, it works. I’ll only need to do 2 or 3 tops. And yes I did not want to lose my castle either really. tested and didn’t get eaten by my pets, so thats good! haha

Since the update, the fall damage seems to be completely gone, because I can jump down from the highest mountain and only lose a maximum of 1-2% life energy …
Can you set that yourself (have your own server with mods with the name: [GER / ENG] / Cal / LV300 / Mods / NoHardcore / Stiegl-Clan, or does it have to be patched again by you?

This fall damage problem has been there before, but after a patch it was back to normal …
Can we fix that on our server ourselves? (This means that if someone crashes somewhere, there should also be damage to health ^^
I can confirm, fall damage is indeed broken. I jumped off the largest tower in my base (and that is a very tall one) and I received 0 damage… I should have died.

Quick update: We’re working on a new hotfix that aims to address some of the remaining issues you’re experiencing, such as getting high ping or being unable to join private servers, the browser showing incorrect unicode characters and some issues with privately hosted servers.
We’re also aware of the fall damage issue and it’s being worked on for an additional hotfix to be released after an emergency.

Quick update again: Those of you still experiencing lost characters in your private servers, be aware that there’s an issue caused by Pippi mod. Its author is aware of it and looking into it.
We also noticed that our ingame names got a #16564654 (IDs) its a bit immersion breaker…

Lost internet connection. You should have internet connection to play. I can play, if quickly write the number 1214 before saw this message. And this is not easy
