We’re releasing a quick hotfix to PC to take care of a recently abused exploit.
Changelog:
- Fixed exploits used to circumvent damage restrictions
Good job, lets hope it is really fixed, there are many threads regarding these exploits. I also hope it fixed the disappearing structure pieces issue as well. Good to see you guys are on track of what bothers most the player. Now keep up the good work and get us the polishing the game needs to be close to perfection.
Edit: Sorry, I was referring to the destruction of buildings using glitches that was beeing reported a few days back. That’s what they fixed I take.

What it mean?
This removes the exploit people have been using to damage/destroy buildings outside raid hours.

I was wondering why I received a msg the server was going to be restarted. I thought it was to fix this massive exploit, so good job, I hope its fully patched out. Keep it up

I am very disappointed of the Game on ps4.
Our Buildings (Black ice)are one day later gone!
When you fight its freezing and you die,i comes back
and all your stuff is gone. Perfect all the Hours playing for nothing! The Big Hotfix makes nothing better!
Its more laggy!
my Clan members go away, mabye comes back when its better. But please make more hotfix and Not dlc or pet System,

How about punitive measures for the bug-users?
Any chance you could use your analytics-tech to detect and punish those culprits on your Official-servers? It’s not a rocket science, believe me.

This hotfix goes for PC as far as I understood. XBox and ps4 will have to pass certification.

Well, don’t. Work on fixing the game before there is no one left playing it, any longer. I cannot believe that adult game designers need to be told this much. It is absolutely insulting to see you guys dividing up your staff when clearly, you ALL need to focus on bringing this game to the point it should have been at release. I want to buy BOTH of your DLC packages and I absolutely refuse to do so on principal alone ( not to mention the fact that I cannot trust that the content is even functional or will remain so after whatever the next update will be…since we all know you WILL break something in the process). I know I am not alone in this mentality. Your game could have been greatness and still could be… but not without the proper attention.

Well goodie, this was an absolutely horrible exploit and one that couldn’t have been gone soon enough. I don’t think I lost anything to it, thankfully, but there were people on my server who did (or claimed they did, anyway, it’s hard to verify of course) and supposedly quit over it. But again, hearsay.
I’m really hoping I won’t login to see parts of my base exploded due to a hotfix this time, but at least I can understand why this one had to be pushed out post-haste if it did happen.

Glad you fixed this exploit. Over the last week I have watched 2 servers get decimated off hour. Please continue your efforts to make this game great.

So here’s the thing:
If we focus squarely on fixing bugs, and not new content, players will threaten to leave the game over a lack of content. If we make new content, players threaten to leave the game over the lack of bug fixes. This is why we’re trying to strike the right balance between both.

And what happens to those who have benefited from it only to make the lives of others miserable?
At the Server #1975 one player (with two accounts) use that and we report him to Steam. Nothing happend, as usual.
Just like most games, sometimes bug fixes, ESPECIALLY hot fixes will break something else. It’s part of the deal. People need to just understand it and deal with it while it gets handled. If someone really enjoys the game…they will continue to play. I played The Division…loved it…game broke BADLY, I left. They finally fixed it, I came back along with A LOT of other people. Just keep doing your thing. It is appreciated.

@Jens_Erik Since the hotfix my region was changed from Americas to japan in the server menu? It wont stay on Americas after I change it either. I have 1 mod istalled (Pippi.) It’s going to be irritating to switch this each time I want to find my server. I will live, but if anyone else has the same issue I bet more will cry out bloody murder…

For a short while, I was able to insta cook stuff after the hotfix. Does anybody else have such a weird glitch?
