I updated my game and suprise suprise, the game keeps crashing, whatever you guys did you created 2 server directions for 1 server, and i keep getting the error of conansandbox crap, i reinstalled 3 times, nada, cant do a damn thing…something has gone horribly wrong…and ive not been able to play my game…
I see only negative comments, everywhere, good job funcom…(thats pure sarcasme incase you failed to notice) you guys ruined my game…and funcom live service, who comes up with these dumbass ideas?its a conquer, survival game, instead of something this lame, give us back the gods…because that was what this patch would be about and on officials the avatars are still offline…

i use windows 7 aswell, would be ridicolous if i have to go for windows 10 just to play this game when i started on windows 7 with this game…hotfix better come fast
always when you have wasted so much time they come up with something silly, now the game cant be played on windows 7 or offline modded or whatever other issues they have…this is what funcom does best, i gave up leveling thralls after several patches…
All the work you put into your thralls is still valid. If you leveled a thrall up to 20, then it’s still level 20. If they made your thralls all start out at level 1 again, then I’d see your point. Right now, all I see is you complaining about the fact that you have to actually do things now instead of having your thralls do it all. LOL.
And I’m not sure why I should be ashamed of myself. I see posts of lots of other players happy that thralls have reasonable stats now, and only one person complaining about them. … You. Seriously. I’ve been doing computer gaming from most likely before you were born. I know pretty quickly when something is overpowered and that it should, and will, get nerfed. I’m surprised it took this long for it to finally happen.

After all of the nonsense from the previous couple of days patches, I finally got on to an official server yesterday where I enjoyed a good 6 hours+ of gameplay without issue (thank Crom), but this morning??? I tried to log on and found that the official server I play on (over 1300+ hours to date) has a ping rate of 424! How is this even possible? I am based in the UK and the server is based in Germany. The highest I’ve ever seen the ping rate for this server is 70(ish), but 424??? Come on now, what gives?
Before cutting the health of fighters and horses so badly, you need to solve the problem with non-attacking thralls. Or add a button to reset the logic of followers so that their heads can refresh themselves and they can engage in battle again, and not go after the enemy with weapons in their hands.

Urgh! Sorry to hear that others weren’t so lucky with the process. We’ve told our players to make sure to take screenshots of bases, etc. just in case of other issues like this one. I think we were lucking in that our server host allows a lot more hands-on for Admins. Admins have direct control over Backups and Restores, and also no mod-updates are automatic. All FunCom updates/patches have to be activated by Admins and do not happen automatically.
@Landumir - that is strange? What we did was to do the backup before running the patch. We renamed the backup to something like ‘backup-pre-Update’ and then ran the patch. When we saw that the post-patch base was smaller than the original, AND that Forums/Discord were reporting issues, we did not start the Server back up until there was clarification. It led to a lot of downtime.
When the Patch dropped yesterday (17th), we Restored from the ‘backup-pre-Update’ base and then ran the Patch. Comparing the bases, they were identical. Only then did we start the server and checked and all okay.
All players were told not to click on the duplicate Server entry showing Ping ‘???’. No players to date have had to re-create.
I did see the following entry from our server host, and apologise in advance for the length, but I hope it helps at all:
"Last Conan update broke something on their netcode and servers do not query on Steam, they don’t show on Battlemetrics, TopConanServers.com or any similar tools, and sometimes they don’t list correctly inside Conan server browser or sometimes they should duplicated with a ?? on it, that’s normal, it’s Conan update broken.
Conan dev’s are aware and they are working on the fix, you can follow up their discussion in this thread or on any other similar thread in their forums: Not being able to play offline in single player mode
For now, until dev’s fix the problem, check below how to workaround:
- Be sure your server it’s updated, run the Steam Update button on your control panel
- Be sure your mods are updated, update your mods from the control panel
- Be sure your server it’s started and running, running servers usually show 4GB or more of ram usage on the control panel (tick the Auto Refresh option)
- Open Conan and let the server list fully load, (exists around 20.000 Conan servers, be sure you let the list populate completely first) before searching for your server
- If you see your server duplicated, ignore it, it’s because the broken update
- If you can’t see your server, click on the Direct Connect button and place your server connection IP:PORT (example: 123.456.789.11:1111)" [ip address changed obs.]

From the start it was a pointless discussion, because (at least for PvE) the selfish and unable to self control whiners which have cried for nerf overwhelmed the discussion. And no, they were not the majority!

Further to my previous comment… I’ve just been kicked out of the server, only to find on my attempt to get in…
Hi Funcom! First, Conan Exiles is my first survival game and I am really enjoying it thanks to my friends who I game with.
This patch has a lot of updates and I can understand the complexities of game mechanics and making sure all the i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed. However, I think one or two things that you say were in this patch did not make it out to the game.
We did the Sunken City last night and our followers had issues in the second to last and final buildings. Luckily they returned to the last known point where they were placed so we’re lucky in that respect. So I think that the fixes for the Followers in the Sunken City didn’t work as expected.
Also, the final boss was problematic at best. She got too far away from her leash length and wanted to reset even though we had her down half way with two of us and one follower (the other was still stuck in the previous room because of wonky mechanics). The boss started walking back to her starting point and was no longer taking damage. We had to let her reset and bring her down all over again without bringing her down to where our other follower was just standing.
There are still issues with the update and I hope you can get these solved soon. This being my first game in this genre, I hope to continue to enjoy the wonderful world of the Exiles you have created.
Thank you for your attention to these issues and thank you for all the work you do to try and make this game the game that it is. I know it is difficult work and I can appreciate the work that goes into it.

maybe try not to let the player disappear or be robbed.

Why are you guys even trying to play?
Just sit this one out and come back once a patch is released which solves the issues.
Our servers were just stuck in a perpetual cycle of rebooting, I have closed down all my servers, saved a backup of the world BEFORE the patch hit the server and will wait for reports that all is well before I reintroduce my map to the server again. Meanwhile, I have been getting a lot of my community to move over to play Atlas instead.

What was the good site of thralls as they were before, can you elaborate?
As an IT Professional, I would Strongly Advise you upgrade to Windows 10, as Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft and doesn’t receive security patches no longer.
This means that if any new flaws are found in the OS and get exploited they wont get fixed
which means using you are at risk this OS while your connected to the internet.
If you don’t take my word on it please listen to Microsoft.

Just trying to help you understand how much risk there is using an OS that is not supported while on the internet.
However the game shouldn’t be the reason to upgrade. As we know they are looking into this.
